We purchased this roof rake primarily to clear the roof of a large cargo trailer and also a canvas temporary building, but we have found it useful on the house roof too. We ended up having to shovel part of the house twice this winter which can be very dangerous. We found that if you position yourself safely on the ridge the roof rake can be used to push the snow off on all sides without you having to put yourself in an awkward spot and without risk of damaging shingles. The design of the head makes it useful for both pushing and pulling snow. The head appears to have been molded to the frame in a way that will last well. The telescoping latches on the handle are much sturdier than those old push pin types. You can lock the handle in any position which means that you can reinforce the lightest tube by fastening the handle mid way. Don't get me wrong, you could destroy this thing if you misused it. Because it is telescoping, the lightest tube ends up taking the most bend pressure near the head. So be aware of physics and protect your investment by managing your handle set up. We would recommend this rake to anyone who has a ot of snow to move in a variety of roof situations. We expect things to be built to last and this rake has exceeded our expectations.

Having a standing seam metal roof, it’s important to keep the snow minimal so not to cause ice damning. I have tried many of these type of snow removal tools, this is by far the best. Easy to use, remember, let the tool do the work. The snow just slides right off. Great Tool

We don't get a lot of snow in our area but I needed something that would allow me to pull the accumulated leaves off my roof without damaging the shingles. This works perfectly. I'm not climbing onto the roof so this light weight pole is great to use while standing on a ladder. And, I like the easy method of extending the reach of the pole without having to stand on a ladder while twisting an extension pole. I frankly don't know how it would work with packed on snow. It seems a little weight might come in handy in that instance but since I've never had to do that, I just don't know. Ask it to pull down piled on leaves and it works like a champ. The only minus I have is that the head keeps coming loose but I'll fix that with some plumbers tape.

This clever tool arrived just in time to be "in time" ... the day before a snowstorm in NJ. I bought it mainly so I would not have to climb on a stepladder to clear off the top of my Honda Pilot SUV, and also to clear the snow that covers my gutter screens so that the sun could warm the screen and the melting roof snow would go into the gutter instead of over the edge, making icicles and ice on the ground. SnowBuster worked great for both applications. And it is a quality manufacturing job. Only one little thing I changed myself... a rubber O-ring on the course thread at the end of the pole help to keet the scraper from loosing up if the pole gets twisted the wrong way. Some sort of large lockwasher might work even better. The extended length works well for scraping the gutter snow while standing on the ground. I'm very happy that I ordered the SnowBuster.

I have not got to use this yet, but I can't wait to use on my chicken run roof. I have always had a hard reaching with the broom so this will be a game changer. Looks like it's made very well. Should be able to use on my new car as well since it made to not leave scratches.

I like it overall . This is the longest one I can find . It bends when your raking but thats to be expected for being 24ft . It takes some upper body strength to move around and drag the snow off my solar panels mounted on my roof but its exactly what I wanted. Feels well built .

I purchased the roof rake last month to remove snow from my solar panels. It works fine, and it is easy to use. I'm convinced it will not scratch or damage the panels, which was my reason for the purchase. I had to climb on my roof to finish the last of the panels--they are very high on the roof--and when finished, I tossed the rake off the roof and it landed awkwardly on a snow bank, breaking the head from the pole. I e mailed the company quickly, explaining my error and accepting fault for the broken rake. They, however, have chosen to replace the parts at no cost to me. One cannot expect better customer service. Their response was quick, friendly, and decisive. Thank you. You are appreciated.

For the most part the construction is very good. The detachable head is made of semi-hard rubber that won't scratch my solar panels. The extensions are fairly sturdy metal piping. The rake is light enough to use at full extension with a few inches retained on each section for stability. The length is great and their suggestion to leave a few inches non-extended on each section for stability is spot on. However, the plastic detents are too brittle. One of them broke the 2nd use of the rake so I can't lock that section into place. I'm still able to use it to pull snow off the panels even with the broken detent but I can't use that section when pushing snow. Other than the detents, I think It's pretty well made. I just need to find some replacement parts.
