These backpacks are great. The water bladder works perfectly and has no leaks. There is plenty of storage room for the necessary items. My husband and I use them on our dirt bikes to carry our phone, wallet, keys, first aid kit, and a small sweatshirt. They are perfect size for the bikes as they don’t sit low on our backs and bump the seat of the bike as we ride. They stay tight to our bodies and don’t bounce around at all. I purchased this for two purposes: A backpacking trip, and regular hikes. I'll go over my favorite things along with some things that could use work. Build Quality: For backpacks in this price range the quality is exactly how I would expect it. Not ultra cheap where you're worried the zipper will break, but not a lifetime product. This is a good backpack for occasional use, but if you're using it heavily you may run into issues. Appearance: loved the look and design of it all. I appreciate the whistle that's built in to the chest strap buckle. Storage: Enough pockets to separate items that need their own space (electronics, phones, etc). Water: The bladder had a funny flavor to it, even after first wash. I expect this will go away but it's not great to drink out of without a very thorough wash. Overall it's a great backpack, it performed well and did it's job on the backpacking trip and 2 day hikes so far. ... show more

I bought this backpack to hold my feeding tube bags and pump and so that I could run the feed lines through the hydration pack holes existing in the bag. If any other tubies are looking for bags to carry their supplies, I have a kangaroo pump with feed and flush system. This bag fits the pump and bags securely with enough room in the main compartment to carry some additional supplies and items. There are two velcro straps inside designed to hold a hydration pack, but these straps can hold the feed and flush bags upright in the backpack also with little to no modification. There are holes running through each strap to run the lines through, making it easy to run the line through the top of any shirt. I also modified and added a hole with a grommet out of the bottom side of the backpack so the I could run my lines under any top also. Great backpack for its intended purpose as well as those of us with disabilities and modified needs! ... show more

    • Holy Cow Does It Stay Cold!!!

Many products tout that it will keep your drink cold for hours. This product said it would keep your bladder cold for 6 hours. I said “uh huh, sure… ok.” For the price, I was good with it keeping it cold for at least an hour or so. Let me tell you… I put the bladder in the freezer overnight to freeze my water so that it would melt during my bike ride. I completed a 4 hour ride today and it only melted about a quarter of the bladder! I was pretty amazed that the pack kept it so cold without making it soaked as it melted. It was refreshing to have the ice cold bladder provide relief on my back through the pack while having ice cold water to drink. I’m about an hour after the ride and now I’m using the bladder to ice my legs while drinking it! Definitely worth every penny!! ... show more

    • plastic cap on drinking mouth piece broke off.

I use this for work and am constantly drinking water, am from AZ, the little plastic attachment that holds the mouth pieces plastic cap broke off. I've had it for abut 2 mo. or so. Every thing else is good quality and my water stays cold, but they went cheep on the cap that makes sure the mouth piece stays clean and closes for no leaks. Maybe they went cheap on the whole mouth piece. ... show more

I bought this hydration pack for a weeklong hiking trip to Yosemite last week. The item was brand new; I hadn’t even unwrapped it until we got to the park. The night before our first hike I filled the bladder per instructions. I woke up to find water everywhere due to a leak in the bladder. I ended up having to purchase a refillable water bottle at the park. W When I got home I tried to return the item but it was way past the return window. I sent a complaint to the company and they sent me a new, improved bladder at no charge. I tested the bladder and it does not leak. It’s also much easier to drink from. ... show more

Bought this backpack for a hiking trip in Washington. I don’t have any outdoorsy backpacks to compare this to but this backpack grew on me very quickly. I like the various pocket sizes. All straps are easy to loosen/tighten. Also, I don’t know if this can be attributed all to the backpack, but my friend also had a backpack on towards the end of the day and her back was very sweaty from her backpack. Mine was dry the entire time. Unfortunately, drinking from this backpack was kind of a nightmare. It took a very long time to get to a point where you get a full stream/sip. fits comfortable over my chest protector. holds a lot of gear. nice side pockets for extra water. haven't tried the rain cover yet. only complaint is the bite valve for the water bladder doesn't work. switched it out for the bite valve on my old pack.
