  • ❌ Solid wheels and suspension system may have room for improvement

Should I Buy It?

If you're looking for a durable and reliable electric scooter, with a strong battery life that can comfortably handle different terrains, then this could be a worthy investment. However, if you're taller or wish to have a more powerful front light, you might have to manually address these issues. Overall, the Evercross Electric Scooter seems to offer great value for its price point.

  • Great product with minor flaws
The media could not be loaded. So first off, this is not a toy, and should only be used by mature adults. There are several reasons for this. Firstly, it's fast. As other reviews stated this scooter can go 28+ mph depending on weight and road conditions. Unfortunately the way it's designed it tends to wobble slightly at high speed especially when sitting. Could be the scooter is too wide and heavy for the wheels they picked, I'm not sure why but it's not due to poor craftsmanship, this thing came near fully assembled and needed basically no adjustment or tightening of bolts/screws/ect. The frame and overall build is actually very sturdy, you can tell as soon as you take it out of the box that it's not cheaply made. Second, as I stated, the wheels really aren't great, I feel they're too small for it but I'm not an engineer. This makes the riding at high speed a little sketchy if you aren't on perfectly paved roads or sidewalks. Transitions from road to other places must b done with care as it's easy for these wheels to catch curbs, grooves, bumps and anything else that will likely cause a bad accident if you don't know what you're doing. And given the high weight of this thing it will likely cause pretty severe injuries. I find the seat makes it comfortable but far less stable (something I expected when buying). Also the seat has a pretty bad design and is the only cheaply made part of the scooter and can likely be done away with for most riders. The springs already creak (day 2) and I'm not a heavy person. The instructions don't tell you how to assemble the stupid headlight (which also really isn't great) so that's pretty annoying however they at least provide a full tool set so you have everything needed to make any adjustments and to maintain the scooter. The display on mine came with scratches on it which I'm not happy about but it's not easy to see it in daylight anyway so whatever And for whatever reason the back and front brake handles are reversed (left is back, right is front) Everything else is great though. With a few tweaks and some WD-40 I'm sure this will last a long time. One cool thing is the gear system which is very useful for controlling acceleration. I rode for 2 straight hours on a very hot day and both the battery and motor stayed relatively cool despite the black paint. Battery life is phenomenal considering the power output. On flat ground I'd say you could get 30 miles easy before charging. Acceleration will gradually slow as the battery drains but will still achieve top speed in most cases. I'm not sure why one reviewer was so overly concerned with the "legality" of this product. Nobody will be confusing this thing with a moped or Vespa especially without a seat. It really just looks like a giant push scooter so as long as you aren't operating recklessly or intoxicated I have a very very hard time believing any police officer would bother you. I ride on the street on side roads, and sidewalk for main roads and have had no issues. Unless your state or town is particularly strict with bikes/skateboards and all that you will be fine. Bicycles can get up to the same speeds and pose far more of a threat to other pedestrians so I see very little difference. Lastly, like I said earlier, this thing is heavy, VERY heavy. If you're a very small person who doesn't get alot of exercise, you're going to be in trouble, especially if you have stairs to climb. I do manual labor so lifting is no issue, however I live in a 3rd floor apartment with no elevator. When buying it said 44lbs and I have a very hard time believing that it's accurate. Add on the packaging and forget it. Getting it upstairs in the box was a serious challenge and honestly not a good time. Once assembled the weight is more distributed making it easier to carry but still incredibly heavy. Overall you get what you pay for. If you want something for off-road use this isn't it. For everyday commuting and just cruising this is a great buy. ... show more

  • "LOVE, LIVE LOVE IT!!!"
This product is soooo sturdy, it's a beast! My wife brought the box in after it arrived and said "what the heck is in there?" When I opened it. I was just overwhelmed with the sense of quality, sturdiness and durability (loved the thick tires and solid feeling). Even though the price is great, you will feel great knowing that "you get what you paid for," which is the true sturdiness and quality. The main thing I want to point out is that this scooter is massive ...and is definitely for the adult; I stand at 6'7 , 311 pounds and have grown weary of bikes and scooters looking small on me. This machine satisfies my need for size, making me feel normal (size matters to me). The other issue I mainly want to address is the speed. I read where someone else was wanting it to be faster....which almost made not purchase this scooter. This scooter is very fast for the average consumer. When I had it run idle (just picking up the back tire), it got up to 45 mph. When I actually took it for the first run, I was reaching between 28 and 29, which was more than I will ever be comfortable with (as far as me not wanting to ride in the streets with cars and actual traffic and without having to wear full saftey gear). I like that you have three gears to pick your speed from. If you know you will only want to cruise at a cruising speed, you select the first gear and you won't have to worry about possibly going faster than you'll need to in that moment (1-9 mph). My favorite gear is the 2nd, which goes up to 18mph, and is just right for a variety of conditions. The 3rd gear gets up to around 28 and makes me nervous without a helmet on. I only went there when I was in a wide and open area and it was good to try that gear out, but it won't be my go-to gear & speed. The extra lights is a plus....talk about curb appeal and extra safety/ visibility at night, it's a very good and important thing. I am soooo pleased with this product being a perfect match for me, I removed the seating because I'm never going to sit down when riding my scooter....I will always stand tall, legs stretched out and proudly ride my Evercross electric scooter. ... show more
