This is the least smelly, dusty, messy litter I've ever used. I forget how nice it is until I scoop a friend's cat box while pet sitting and get choked by the amount of dust stirred up. I can't find Ever Clean at a local pet shop in my current location so I've resorted to ordering it on Amazon. I can't go back to the grocery store variety after using Ever Clean. The extra bonus, my cat doesn't reek of cat litter after she gets done in the box! All around superb stuff! Great clumping, easy scooping and minimal smell/dust! UPDATE: I purchased a new 42lb bag in Feb. 2014 and am so disappointed. As you may have seen in other reviews, they have changed this litter. It now produces as much dust if not more than cheap grocery store varieties. The unscented now has such a strong scent I can't believe they get away with calling it "unscented" and I get a rash every time I come into contact with my cat after she's been in the litter box. Throwing it out. Crazy expensive for what has become an inferior product. As an fyi, I live in a remote area without access to any pet stores but I did find a grocery store product that has very little dust and no odor. It's called Cats Pride Natural. Cheap stuff. The clumps of littler still break a little but I'll take it over the new Ever Clean. Be sure to get the "natural/hypoallergenic" version as the other cats pride litters have scents and much more dust.

This is an awesome litter. I have 3 cats in an apartment and it works. Really works. Our landlord cannot tell we have cats. (which is great!) Plus, I think the biggest thing is my cats love it. I have tried various other litters over the years, and either I did not like them (I am sensitive to perfumes and strong scents) or the cats did not like it and showed their displeasure in many ways. (ick). Some just did not work as advertised. Yes, it is a clay based litter, so there is some dust, but not much. It clumps well, and really traps odors. I purchase it usually in 2 boxes at a time, but found the 42 lb bag on amazon Prime the last time and love it! Little tough to get up 3 flights of stairs, but I like that it is in one container. I searched locally for this brand, and found it, but a a much higher price. Try it out, you could be really happy you did.

We've used Arm & Hammer, Scoop Away, Fresh Step, pet store brand... then we discovered this and as soon as it went in the box, the clouds parted, the angels sang.... well, as close to heaven as you can get with a cat's toilet, I guess. I don't know why some people claim this is dusty, because this is completely dust free to the point where it amazes us how clean it is. Unscented, no smells from the litter or the cats. Seriously, what's up with scented litter anyway? It only announces to everyone in the house "Hey, that nasty pseudo fragrance you're smelling from across the hall? Yup, that's me, the litter box is right in here and the smell is even stronger because the cat just left a deposit!" Litter should not smell, it should be invisible and it should help mask cat odors, and this does that in our 2 cat household. It doesn't perform miracles with our little stinker, no litter does - but it's definitely better than the competition! Clumps well too. Hope they don't ever change their formula, because we are customers now for life!

I have a feral cat who adopted us. He is diabetic I give him insulin shots. But, some days, he still urinates a lot. So I have a litter box in a bathroom and in the family room. I've never had a cat before, always dogs. So, I know nada about cat litter. I was purchasing the PetCo scoop your own brand. I had no idea why I had litter all over my house. I'd even find litter on the side of the toilet bowl, I bathroom door & full length mirror. I paid a fortune for those mats to prevent tracking. NOT!!! Then I happened upon the reviews of this product on Amazon. I realized then that my problem was the 'clumping' of the litter. So, I thought I'd give this a try. I am extremely satisfied with this product. I see no more tracked litter. I no longer have to burn scented candles and scented plug ins all day to mask litter box odors. No more sweeping up litter 3-4 times daily. I am a happy camper. There was a little more dust particles upon pouring the product in the box than with the other brand. But I noticed no scent. So for me, I don't mind paying the extra bucks. I no longer have to purchase fragrances and litter box deodorizer. So I'm saving money there. In addition, there is no longer the worry that visitors still smell the litter box odor I am trying so hard to mask. I do find that I don't use as much of this product as I did the other litter, so that's a savings as well. Also, my cat seems to like this better. Since it was time to completely empty and clean the litter box in the family room, I only put the Ever Clean in that box. He now refuses to use the litter box in the bathroom. UPDATE 8/1/2014: Sorry, but I have to rerate this product. My cat has developed respiratory problems since changing to this litter. I purchased a second box. There was so much dust as I poured it into the pan, that my cat left the room. Afterwards, my eyes were scratchy and I could hardly breathe (I have allergies). So it's back to the old litter and cleaning it up all day. I gave this 2 stars , because it does clump very well and there is no tracking. UPDATE 8/20/2014: I am upgrading this product. My vet said my cat had a cold. She said normally cats do not develop respiratory problems from litter unless they already have respiratory issues like asthma. I'm taking off one star because it is so dusty. I use my dust mask when filling litter box because I have allergies. Other than this, I really like that this litter is not tracked all over my home. It has made my housework so much easier. Lol. I also detect no odor. I like this product.
