I'm expecting my third child and wanted to save some money and buy as little as I have to this time around so it made since to get this convertible car seat instead of buying an infant seat and turning around and buying this one a few months later. I haven't gotten a chance to use it yet, although I guess I could try to use my son in it for a little while but I don't want to mess it up before the new baby uses it. It's super cute, the pink is brighter than in the picture. It's very light weight, I was able to carry it in one hand and my 2 year old in the other. The head pad for it velcros into place and adjusts for the height of the child easily. It seems really comfortable, but since I'll be using it for an infant I also bought a snuzzler infant support thing to put In the car seat for added support just in case. I wish I would have known about this car seat when I had my other children, it's much nicer than my sons & a little cheaper. The one thing I'm not a big fan of was the cup holder. It seems flimsy, it folds into a small square and unfolds to have it clip onto the side of the car seat and it has a flat bottom but the main part that holds the cup in place is a thin plastic ring. I've never had much luck with the cup holders ever staying on these kinds of car seats and like I said, I'm using it for an infant so the cup holder isn't a problem for me right now. The car seat seems a little wide but it fits snugly in the back seat between a toddler seat and a booster seat. Overall I'm very pleased with this seat and I'm really thinking about getting rid of my sons big bulky seat and buying one of these for him as well. ... show more

    • Don't let the low price scare you!
I was hesitant to go so cheap on a car seat because "you get what you pay for", right? I took a chance after reading generally good reviews and figured if I didn't love it I could send it back or keep it as a secondary car seat for grandparents or emergencies. When it arrived, I was so impressed with how padded and sturdy it was, and not "cheap-feeling" at all that I'm ordering a second for our other vehicle. My fifteen month old who had long outgrown her infant seat is enjoying a space-fest in this seat and is comfortable enough to sleep soundly. One of the drawbacks I read frequently in reviews was that the straps tend to rub and irritate, so I ordered some Nuby strap covers to go with it(https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ZZQFIXS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). They are very soft and comfortable; however I ended up removing them because I found they pushed the chest clip down so it wouldn't stay over her chest, so beware of that. The straps don't seem to bother her (her infant car seat straps didn't have covers either) and safety first! I'm sure there are fancier car seats, but if you have to buy multiples, or if you just don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on one, this more than gets the job done. ... show more

    • Great, especially for air-travel!
Purchased for our flight to Texas. We didn't want to lug around our 25lb Chicco NextFit in the airport, so we opted for this. We have a 2-year old, so we had to have a seat, and honestly, for all you moms of toddlers out there - take your carseat on your flight. It's not really that difficult, especially with this one, and it's so worth it to keep the kid restrained and in a familiar position/seat when your on the plane. My daughter is pretty adventurous, so we didn't have problems, but she would have been hard to manage without the seat. I honestly would rather pay for a seat than have a lap-only option even for a younger child. It's definitely lightweight and easy to pull around. We used a luggage rack and carabiners to strap to the rack in order to haul it through the airport. Some people use that method to tote their kid rather than taking a stroller, but we also had the stroller, so we put our carry-on luggage in the carseat and rolled it around while pushing the stroller. It made everything easy! It fit down the aisle of our Southwest plane and strapped in easily enough. It's not the most heavy-duty, but I trust that it would keep her safe in an accident based on other reviews where kids were in this in terrible accidents and came out A-ok. ... show more

5 star quality! Extremely light weight! Have had for over a year now and the material is still holding up with atleast 10 washes in my machine and tons of spot cleaning with dish soap or baby wipes. My daughter is definitely safe in this seat and it is extremely comfortable for her! Would order an additional for my mother's car if it was available. I read reviews before I purchased a seat as I was looking for certain specs...the safest, most durable quality, but also light weight for traveling on an airplane and had to be comfortable to accomodate my daughter for car naps and a bonus...a detachable cup holder! The cup holder did break, and I cant...I find where I can purchase this separately, but other then that minor concern of mine, this is the best deal and safest deal around! ... show more

    • Best lightweight car seat on the market today!
Do you travel on airplanes and Uber? If so, these car seats are a must have. These car seats are light enough that you can carry two of them at a time through the airport. I’m not kidding, we live in Atlanta and have two children under three years old. We have to Uber to the airport and need lightweight car seats that still meet our safety requirements. They are pretty easy to install and uninstall quickly, and they are very sturdy. I like that you can choose different colors as we have two different shades of pink for our two girls. Best lightweight car seat on the market today! We now have two children riding in these car seats, and think they are just the greatest.
