The unit auto-cycles off when target RH% is reached. Check tank full indicator, auto shut-off may have triggered. Check ambient temp, Peltier units need above 60°F. The EDV-2400 is louder than expected. Why is this happening? The EDV-2400 operates at 43dB, quieter than most compressor dehumidifiers (50dB+) but audible at close range. For ultra-quiet applications try placing on a cloth surface to reduce vibration transfer. If noise is excessive, contact support. Is the EDV-2400 a fire hazard? I heard the adapter gets hot. The unit is not effectively removing moisture. What might be wrong? This is the most common setup issue. Confirm: (1) space is under 267 sq ft with doors closed, (2) ambient temp above 60°F, (3) RH is 60%+ — Peltier units work harder at higher humidity. For cold/large spaces see the EDV-4000. Will the unit eliminate all signs of condensation in my space? The EDV-2400 reduces humidity to your target level, eliminating most condensation. Cold surfaces like pipes or windows may still condense if below dew point — no dehumidifier can fully prevent this. Set humidistat to 45–50% RH to minimize it.
