  • Excellent for the price!
I went through several reviews before making this purchase, and I'm very pleased. The bike looks and handles amazingly. However, I am new to riding so I don't have much to compare it to. It is heavier than more expensive bikes and the mag wheels add additional weight also. However, I'm using this bike to train and get in better shape so I'm ok with the weight to increase muscle strength w/o having to spend a ton of money. I'd only recommend this bike to beginners. Primarily because the chain wheel is 42T. That is small as standard road bikes come with 52T or 53T. The larger chain wheel allows you to produce more power which means the bike can go faster. However that also means it is harder to pedal which is why I prefer the smaller chain wheel as a newbie to cycling. I also stay in a hilly area so the smaller chain wheel is much better for my needs. The seat is pretty uncomfortable, but replacements are pretty cheap. I added a gel cover to mine until I can find a better seat. Other than that, I don't have any other complaints. Well, I didn't like all the stickers as the graphics were a bit overwhelming so I took some of the stickers off the wheels. For the price, this is a great buy! ... show more

  • Great Starter Bike
Been eyeballing this bike for some time. With the pandemic they were selling out very quickly. I'm new to cycling and haven't ridden a bicycle consistently since I was a teenager. Again with the pandemic, I needed an alternate form of exercise as I have no plans to cross the threshold of a gym anytime soon. Bike arrived quickly, I love that it came with all the tools to assemble it. Assemble is probably too strong a word, the bike comes fully assembled and I only needed to mount the front tire, handlebars, seat and pedals. Very simple. I did have some initial problems with the front brakes rubbing but a quick Youtube video and a little patience cleared that up. I simply loosened the front caliper, spun the wheel and gently tightened the bolts one at a time until I heard no more rubbing, fixed. This also comes with a cheap air pump, did the trick to get enough air in to ride to the gast station and air up properly. Tires say 70 PSI Max but I didn't dare put a full 70. 60 was an adequate firmness in my opinion and gave a smooth ride. It's a gorgeous bike, I mean, it just looks good, I may end up removing the stickers from the wheels and opt for something less flashy. In hindsight, I regret getting the 3 spoke wheels whcih I didn't think would be aluminum, it feels heavier than a spoked tire. Bike came with two reflectors, The red for the back was an easy install but I don't see a place where a front reflector would fit, the included is too narrow for the handlebars. My biggest pet peeve is the kickstand, it's a real PITA, the only way it will stand the bike up is if you turn the handlebars at just the right angle, too much to the left if falls, too much to the right, it falls and there is no way that I can tell to adjust it. I may replace this in the future. I also added a water bottle cage from PRO BIKE TOOLS, fit perfectly in the predrilled holes and included screws. I added a front light and back light to supplement the reflectors. Also, I don't really like the height of the handlebars but that might just be something I need to get used to. The pedals are plastic, which I'm afraid will break on my weight, I plan to replace these. In hindsight knowing what I know now, I would opt for a bike with a larger crankset. pedaling is fairly easy but slow, meaning it takes a fair amount of pedaling to keep the bike moving but I'll attribute that to me being a fatty that still expects riding a bike to feel like it did when I was 15. I'm much heavier now so that's a good thing that I actually have to work a little to keep the bike moving but for overall long rides, I wish I had some cruisier gear options. I was sore after my first ride...THAT'S AWESOME, that shows I'm using muscle that I haven't been using..here lately that's probably all of them..lol The seat is painful, it's narrow and hard and with plastic pedals I didn't feel safe standing on these with my weight being about 220 lbs. I will most likely replace the seat and get padded pants. For now this hurts my butt. I do wish the placement of the brakes were a little higher. I know I can adjust them but I don't want to mess up this beautiful tape, so I'll just have to get used to it. The bike is a little heavy, not incredibly weighty but feels heavy when in motion at the lowest gear you can really feel it dragging but again, I'm 220, so there's that. I may take it to a bike shop and see if they can help with the handlebars. It feels awkward for me to have to lean over so much to brake. Brakes however are strong and I really like the disk brakes, especially in damp wet weather. Overall, I'm happy with this purchase, and if all goes well I'll graduate to something lighter, for now this is my exercise routine for the duration of the pandemic. ... show more

  • Great Bike!
This is my second road bike that I have purchased throughout my lifetime. This bike is a little on the heavy side, but I did expect that since it does have disc brakes, and a steel frame. I was a little hesitant on buying this bike at first, but I am glad I did! On my first bike ride I rode approximately 33miles, with little adjustments needed I was rolling through the bike trail. Surprisingly the bike is very smooth. I did buy another seat since the one it came with was a little uncomfortable (personally). I have also put a new set of Continental Gatorskin tires that I have put on both of my road bikes, this just reduces my chance of getting a puncture when I'm riding. The bike when delivered came without a scratch and came with a set of instructions that were very helpful. I will update in a couple of months. • It's just too heavy...
The bike looks great, and does perform, but it is just too heavy. I find myself doing double the work trying to ride and that's not always a good ting when you are riding with a group of people who have bike's that are 20-30 lbs lighter than yours. This bike is as heavy as a mountain bike, so if you are looking for a great looking bike, this is it, but if you want something lighter than a tank, then you should be slow to purchase. Would I buy again??? No, I would give up style for riding experience. I look great gonig down the road, but I'm catching heck going up the hills. ... show more

  • Great bike, can’t beat the price for what you get.
Really love it. Read all the reviews before I bought it and posted some questions myself. I hesitated for two weeks as I wasn’t sure if I should go with the 3-spoke or regular spoke tires. I’m not an expert but would assume 3-spoke tires would be rather used inside like in a velodrome because I immediately noticed that cross winds DO have an effect on it while riding. I bought the 3-spoke mostly for the look but did think after my first ride I should have taken the regular spoke tires instead. After 150 miles on the bike I either don’t notice the difference anymore, have been able do adjust to it or had simply no cross winds anymore because I don’t seem to notice the discomfort I was first noticing. So yes: I enjoy every ride and I’m glad I bought it. I’m no expert by ride my bike about 20 miles every day. I don’t regret this purchase. ... show more

  • Don't waste your money
I waited a few months before i decided to write this just to give the bike a fair chance. Growing up on two wheels building them and riding them I must say this bike is Horrible, The feel of the bike gives you the most uncomfortable ride a bike can give, you always think your feet will hit the front tire, and the seat is going to give you a good sore butt. ... show more
