It looks like a really good steamer, so in that way, this seems like a good product. The reason for one star is that I was looking for a plastic-free steamer which this is not. I was not happy, because it does have plastic parts, that when heated, will out-gas onto the food. I bought this steamer with the idea that no plastics would come in contact with the food - especially when the plastic is getting hot. Food should never be prepared on heated plastics, because that's when plastic emits the most toxic compounds into the food. ... show more

I use this to steam vegetables and left-over rice. Quick and easy and food comes out great. Took a few tries to figure out the best timing, but the included booklet is helpful. Easy cleanup too.
