  • Excellent Tent
Style: 3 Person
The area I camp in, is very hot and humid. At times there is very strong winds as well. This tent is fantastic, the hub pole design means that is can spread the load of heavy winds and keep its shape; in fact this is the only thing I would say takes some getting used to, the circle hub is different so putting it together while not complicated is finnicky the first time you do it, after that its a breeze. I had no loose stitching, all seams were taped, nothing was broken. You get an included footprint, good guy lines come with it. There are enough stakes to set up the tent, but not enough for all the guy lines, so if you are going out, take 4 more if you need to anchor it more firmly. This is the ONLY tent for the price I found that was full mesh which allows excellent breathability, I was comfortable all night, and of the 4 other people camping with me, had no issues with wind or heat at night. The tent is light weight for its class and you could split the load further with other people if needed. It comes with two roof pockets that yo ucan put on or take off, all 4 corners have mesh pockets and a pocket underneath each door... which I really appreciate as you can store keys, wallet, headlamps, or whatever you need and not have to open the door completely to get anything in them. Setup takes about 5 to 8 minutes; overall, its a great tent for the price and so far for the sub 300 bucks is the best I have ever used. ... show more

  • Pole BROKE on first assemble after purchase
Style: 3 Person
I was sooo excited about this tent, I love the double entry doors, full mesh body, and colors. The first time I set it up, the silver metal piece of the pole that connects into the center anchor slid within the pole so the pole cannot connect to the center piece for setup. This happened on a backpacking trip on this tents FIRST use ever and we were without a tent - i am extremely disappointed and will never be able to depend on Eureka products because of this. ... show more

  • Very easy set-up, compact tent
Style: 2 Person
I am primarily a car camper, staying in state parks and national forests, myself and my two dogs. We do an occasional backpacking trip, but nothing too crazy (yet). My current tent is a mountain hardwear tent I inherited from my dad, circa the 1980's. It's still hanging in there, but it's looking to retire. I am not certain if this will be the replacement for me. The set of pictures I've included, I've set this up in my basement - there is still snow on the ground where I am, so inside it is! I am setting this up on a 5'x7' rug for reference. Obviously it is not staked out. I'll take it "out in the field" in a few months, and update with that experience! What I like about this tent: -The instructions are printed on a sheet inside the storage bag, attached to the storage bag - great idea! -Super easy to put up and take down! And I mean, SUPER easy - match the colors, snap the buckles, clip to the poles, you've got yourself a tent. -Small footprint, light, but spacious -Everything is included - footprint, gear loft - this is everything you need -Bathtub design -If you are camping somewhere with good weather and good views - this is the tent!! I wish I had this when I camped in the redwoods, my current tent only has a skylight. What I don't like about this tent: -It's completely see through, no privacy at all. If you want to change your clothes, have some adult time, or just sleep in and block the sunlight - you'll need to put up the rain fly (which, however, is super easy). -The rectangular design and side entry. Instead of entering the tent at the foot of the sleeping space, you enter to the side. For me, that means I'm climbing over the dog's bedding, while making sure they stay off of mine. If you're not camping with dogs, you can probably use the separate entry doors and won't have this issue. :) -Some of the materials and connections don't feel the sturdiest, and there is a lot of plastic used - potential points of failure. That makes this lighter, and cheaper, but likely decreases the longevity. The mesh of the tent itself also feels quite fragile. -This is advertised as 3-season, but I would be very wary of using it in the spring/fall, or even in the mountains Overall - this is a good step up from some of the entry level tents, but will likely not be a tent you hand down to your kids. It'll do the job, as long as you have reasonable expectations about what that job is. ... show more

  • Nice tent
Style: 2 Person
My first impression review until I can use this tent in the woods: This tent is gorgeous and really well-made. It has metal tent poles and weighs under 4lbs. The fly and footprint are included in the bag. The tent uses a hub design which is a little fiddly but altogether it's better than the traditional sleeved pole style which I hate threading poles through. With a hub, you do have to manage all of the poles together because they're permanently attached to one another. But you can leave some of them collapsed until you're ready to attach them to the tent, and just work with one long pole at a time. In the colorway I got, in the 2-person model, the tent poles are not color coded. The poles are all green and the bits at the end are all silver. The way you tell how to orient the poles is by making sure that the short poles go above the doors (because they add structure to the door area and support the fly). It's possible to connect the poles wrong and potentially damage something before you realize they don't fit properly. Once the poles are in the snaps, you clip the tent to the poles with several clips along the tent's seams. Super fast and easy. Stake the tent out, put the fly on, easy. There is a durable instruction tag in the bag, with pictures. The bag the tent comes in has a drawstring at one end, and you have to stuff a bunch of rolled up taffeta into the bag all at once while the small drawstring bag catches on everything. Huge hassle, and the gear doesn't have fold marks on it like my other tents do so it's really hard to tell how it was folded. I spent a loooooong time trying to get it back in the bag. There's a user guide in the tent box, and it explains how and why to seal your seams and care for the tent. You have to seal the seams before you use the tent! This is the only tent I've seen that has directions that mention this. It's important! Anyway, great tent but I'm really annoyed about the bag it comes in, lol. ... show more
