I loved the idea of making ice quickly, and as needed. I don't have a refridgerator w/icemaker, and I keep the freezer too full to store ice trays or huge bags of purchased ice. While this product does make ice pretty quickly, I found that the ice turns back into water pretty quickly, as well. I was having to dump each ice cycle into bags and quickly put it into freezer, in order to gather up enough ice for my need (which was to use in a blender for a smoothie). I mean, it's great that it makes the ice quickly, but without using or storing it in freezer as soon as its made, the cubes, which aren't big to begin with, turn into ice shavings before you can accumulate a few cycle's worth. I've used it a couple of times now, but who knows, maybe it will work better in cooler weather (although the house a.c. was about 75°). ... show more

So the ice maker works very well and I like the bullet ice. My ice maker in the freezer broke and I bought this. I love the ice and it works very well. But it doesn’t hold ice, it makes ice. So we had to constantly fill it with water and move ice to the freezer. It was hard to keep up with our ice usage. I finally replaced the freezer ice maker for less than I bought this ice maker. Again it is nice and works well, but I need something that runs 24/7 with no attention. ... show more

It works as described. I try to remove the ice every 30 to 60 minutes and place in a tray in the freezer, then break it up after it freezes and put it in the ice bucket. Keeps us well supplied in ice. It has a drain in the bottom, which is nice, I don’t know what I’m missing by not having the self cleaning option. Happy so far. ... show more

It makes lots of cubes. There isn’t anything to dislike about it. I have lots of cubes now and I don’t have to buy bags of ice all the time. I live in an apartment and I do not have an ice maker on my frig.. I just have to add water time and again and in nine minutes I have ice. I love it.

We bought this for our work coffee bar and it is the new water cooler. We all walk by it and talk about how much we love it. I've even heard my coworkers talking to people on the phone about how much they love having an ice machine. Who would think something so small would bring so many people together? Lol it works differently than I originally thought. I thought it'd be like a freezer with a ice cube maker, but it actually is an ice cube maker that just recycles the water into new cubes once it melts. So it is constantly running and making ice when the other ice cubes melt. The downside to this is that they all kinda melt together at the bottom. But I really do love it! ... show more
