  • Great Ice Machine
Set name: 1,00-Silver
This works as advertised and makes great ice. This is my second ice maker - both the same machine but different brands. The first one lasted 7 years and I got tired of messing with it but liked it enough to buy this one which is just like it especially when I saw this on sale for much less than I paid for the one years ago. I had minor issues with the first one but nothing I couldn't rectify on my own mostly from lack of cleaning on my part causing hard water scale build up in the water reservoir. From past experience I will be draining the water and running the clean cycle a lot more often with this new machine. Over all these are super easy to use just set the time you want it to run for and let it go and you will always have ice on hand. This is in my garage in Michigan which its pretty warm right now but it has no trouble making ice and being out there I don't hear any noise in the house but it isn't loud at all when it runs but not sure I'd want it in the house unless it was in a basement bar or something not constantly occupied. ... show more

  • Love this ice maker!
Set name: 1,00-Silver
Wow this thing is a workhorse! Bought it for our vacation home since my husband and son often need ice for coolers when fishing and buying and storing the big bags of ice is a pain. It did take them awhile to install it as we had to run a drainline. It’s located in our golf cart garage which tends to be warm and very humid but this thing makes ice like crazy! It’s really fast too. They can empty it in the morning and we will have ice by mid afternoon. I love the shape of the cubes too. Bonus is it’s quiet. There’s a bedroom adjacent to where it is and you can’t hear it running. Very pleased with this purchase! ... show more

  • Great ice machine. Occasionally needs some tinkering
Set name: 1,00-Silver
It’s lasted longer than I expected! Bought this ice machine July 2024 and I figured I’d “break even” if it lasted a year. It’s March 2026 and this thing is still working well. That’s approximately 20 months. CONS- You’ve gotta “fiddle” with it. It’ll show a malfunction code and stop making ice. I usually unplug it for 30 minutes and will start making ice again after it resets. Gotta clean it every 2-4 weeks. These machines get nasty and moldy pretty quickly. I’ll spray the insides down with vinegar and then hose it out. I should probably clean it more often. Air compressor or fan varies in speed during the day. It sounds like the ice machine is about to self destruct, but it keeps on working fine! Overall it’s a good ice machine for the price. I use it daily for filling my work cooler. You’ve gotta pay attention to it and the error codes (E2 I think). I have to unplug it and let it reset every 10-14 days or so…then it works fine again. It’s worked well for the sub 400 dollar price I paid. Hoshizaki under counter ice machines were approximately 2200 dollars years ago when I bought this Euhomy unit for less than 400 It’s kept my work cooler filled with ice for nearly 20 months. I expect it to to die any day now, but overall I’m pretty satisfied with this ice machine. ... show more

  • Great Ice Without the Premium Price
Set name: 1,00-Silver
I lost a $1,300 ice maker during Hurricane Ian, and then lost another in Hurricane Milton. I wasn’t about to spend that kind of money again knowing another storm could come through. I decided to give this one a try, and I’m glad I did. It produces plenty of ice, keeps up with entertaining, and has been a great value. Pros: * Produces ice quickly and consistently. * Plenty of capacity for parties and everyday use. * Much more affordable than high-end built-in units. * Easy to operate and maintain. * Outstanding value for the performance. Cons: * It’s not as premium in fit and finish as units costing four or five times as much, but the ice is just as cold. If you’re looking for a dependable ice maker without spending a fortune, this one is an excellent choice. It proves you don’t have to spend over a thousand dollars to get great ice. ... show more

  • Great machine, saved me thousands $$
Set name: 1,00-Silver
I’ve had it for almost a year now and have had zero issues! Great machine, I use a water filter feeding into the machine and keep the coils clean. Couple different ice settings but this has saved me over $900 easily. I work outside and would have to buy 1-2 bags of ice daily to keep the drinks cool for my guys working. This is time and money saver and it’s great for party’s as well. Makes a bit of heat and some sound so put it in a different room. ... show more

  • Working great, makes ice at the rated speed!
Set name: 1,00-Silver
This product is certainly "easy to install". I put that in quotes, since you need a water line coming in, and a drain line going out. It's very easy, in that it just plugs into your power outlet (no hard wiring), but if you aren't particularly handy you might need a plumber to run those lines for you. But it's not a complicated install either way. Some things to note, and none of these are 'knocks' on the Euhomy, this is the way all ice makers in this category operate, but if you're just getting one for the first time for your house, maybe you didn't know. 1) The bin where the ice is stored is just a bin. Ice in there will slowly melt over time. Only the part of the machine where the ice is made is chilled. This is probably a good thing for you. It makes this product much more affordable, and it is friendlier to your electric bill. 2) You need three things - a power outlet (regular 110V), a water line coming in (same as your refrigerator's ice maker needed), and a drain line coming out - remember that bin? When ice melts, it becomes water. That will pool on the floor, or you can run the line and remove the water. Do that. ;) In my case, we installed it in our garage. It's not obnoxiously loud, but if you put it in your kitchen, you WILL hear the condenser come on as it's making ice. It sits about 6 feet from our hot water heater, so we had a relatively easy install, we had a guy tap that water line for the heater, and run it also to the Euhomy. Voila, ice coming in! We installed a water filter in between the water line and the ice maker, because filtration! For the drain line, there was no way to get it safely outside my garage floor without a condensate pump. All ice makers like this rely on a gravity drain. If the drain line runs DOWN, gravity will ensure the water leaves. The further you run that line, the less likely you can keep it sloping downward. So any local big box hardware store will sell for under $100 a water condensate pump. Run the line to the pump, and then from the pump to a place where it's safe for water to go, and you're good to go. Our line from the ice maker to the pump is a downward slope, and the pump has a float, then when it floats that means enough water is in the unit, and it pumps it out of our house. Get a good pump, the cheap ones fail relentlessly. Our same plumber ran that line right next to where the water heater's exit line was, drilled a small hole, and boom - all my melted ice water flows safely to the grass outside my garage. One last thing... I'll say it again. If you need a condensate pump, buy a good one. The first one we had died really quick. The cheap ones are very cheap, and being in the garage didn't help (the motor overheated). We knew it failed right away, there was puddle of water on the floor one morning, and the unit was very hot. It had a small fan near the power supply that burned out within a month of installation. I bought a much better pump, and have had no problems yet. It also has a float-less design (one less thing to get 'stuck') and lots of indicators. Don't spend $400-500 on a ice maker, and possibly $200-400 on a plumber and then stick a cheap pump in there. Get a good pump if you need it! Because it's in a garage, and because that garage is in South Florida, I did use the timer feature to let it "freeze" ice longer. I have it set to +4 - which basically means it freezes the ice an additional four minutes before dropping it in the bin. The ice was a little to "soft" with some unfrozen water in the middle of the cube otherwise. Depending on where your ice maker is, you might not need that drastic an adjustment. It still makes ice really quick and really often. The ONLY other quirk is... it's rainy season in Florida. We get a lot of thunderstorms, and our power likes to blip out for a minute or two sometimes. This unit will NOT turn itself back on. So some morning I walk in, and the bin is less than full because the power in the house went out briefly. Push the power button, reset my timer to +4 and I'm good to go. I wish it had an auto-power feature to turn itself back on. I may add a small UPS to avoid the power interruptions, and to prolong the life on the unit. ... show more

  • Okayish value for the money
Set name: 1,00-Silver
Ok, I've had my machine for well over a year now so I'll give the bad news first. The advertised capacities are optimistic at best. If the unit is tuned on and let run until it shuts itself off because it's full, it most certainly does not hold 33 lbs in the storage bin. I can easily put every cube in the bin into a 20 lb ice bag. It also will not make 100 lbs in 24hrs. My machine is installed in a large laundry room/ pantry that only ever gets 72 degrees farenheit at most and the incoming water supply is never more than the temperature of the room (the biggest excuses for lack of ice machine production are high ambient temperature and high supply water temp). I put my ice in 10lb bags and store them in a chest freezer so there's plenty on hand to ice down the boat or a case of beer in a cooler without having to run the machine 24/7, I have never been able to put away more than 4 ten pound bags in 12 hours of machine run time. So with all of that being said it's an 80lb machine with a 20lb bin. Instead of having a normal reliable 1/4" threaded water hookup like your fridge has, it uses a goofy push lock tubing setup that seperates the pressurized potable water supply from the expensive interior of your home with nothing more than a tiny rubber o ring. I just know that one day im going to come home and open the door to see my dog floating across the living room on the couch, but for now its working. Now, the biggest pain is that the machine will shut down in the middle of making ice but the display shows that the machine is still running with no fault codes from time to time. Over all its not hard to fix, just unplug the machine, plug it back in and it's back to business. Maybe I should have called the manufacturer and had the control board replaced under warranty while it was still within the warranty period? Maybe I'm just a procrastinator so it never happened? Yeah probably to both.... but enough of the bad, here's the positive. This machine is actually pretty efficient to run. It consumes about 200 watts of electricity on average. It's really not horribly loud. You can't find a new domestically made 80lb in 24hours machine for anywhere near what this machine costs. It's the perfect machine to turn on, let it run over night to ice down a smaller ice chest the next morning for work or provide extra ice for a large family event. Does it have it's short comings? Absolutely. Do I have buyers remorse? Nah. Try one out for yourself, they are moderately ok for the price, or don't, I'm not going to tell you how to live your life... ... show more
