  • High Quality - Easy to Setup - Easy to Install
Style: 2-Cam Kit
What really impressed me about the wireless camera system is just how simple it is to setup. Unbox, charge, download the app, connect to your wifi network, install the cameras and you're done. The picture quality for both day and night meet my requirements, zones with notifications actually work as designed, and the rechargeable battery life seems to be on-point for 6mo mark. My cameras are installed outside under eve out of direct sunlight. Hopefully this will keep the camera working properly, time will tell. ... show more

  • A reasonably priced. very useful system
Style: 2-Cam Kit
I already have eufy security devices: 2 video doorbells and 2 bolt-locks. I like that they work well and do not require a subscription. It was easy to add the two outdoor security cameras to the system. They set up quickly and straightforward to adjust the settings to your desired parameters through the app. This would be true if this were the first eufy security device a person purchased and set up. I got this outdoor camera system on sale, but even at full price, these are quite reasonably priced. I looked at the higher priced eufy options, but find that this level serves my purpose. I didn't figure that the cameras would get enough solar exposure where they are placed to make that a good option, nor do I require the higher video resolutions (to my thinking at this time). ... show more

  • Great home security camera system
Style: 2-Cam Kit
Great home security camera system. Had some minor issues mostly with the camera motion sensors and setting the sensitivity. My main reason for buying the Eufy system was No Monitoring service required and no monthly fees, and the system is very upgradable. I have had this system for about a year, and so far I am very satisfied with it. It has been very reliable, the camera batteries last about 3 to 6 months before needing recharged, and the app is very user friendly and customizable. ... show more

  • Pretty good cameras with good quality
Style: 2 cam pack+solar panel
These have been pretty good. Nice video quality and way installation. Lots of free features and I love that it is not a subscription model. My only qualm with this is that they do not allow you to see farther back in the feed than 24 hours and also the tracking on the doorbell can be too sensitive.

  • Inexpensive home video solution, if you desire wireless convenience and no monthly subscriptions
Style: 2-Cam Kit
Overall a great solution with very adequate video and audio quality and two-way live audio. Night vision is surprisingly good for this price point and the motion AI thus far seems to work as advertised. Note that I sold cloud-based commercial grade video solutions for many years, which all required monthly subscriptions for use and video storage. When you consider having the ability to manage/monitor remotely, and the reasonable purchase price and the lack of a requirement for a monthly subscription in a solution that is wireless and battery powered (rechargeable and eliminates the need for wiring, so convenient to install and to move around if desired).... this is an alternative consider to Ring and other available options. Unless perhaps you're bought into the whole Alexa home automation and simply want to include this into you home eco system. Setup was reasonably easy and driven by the eufy mobile app. And really only took a few minutes, once you get beyond the poor documentation and some terminology quirks (sadly, poor documentation is commonplace these days from so many manufacturers -- so not intuitive for a video novice -- but typical of products from Asian manufacturers). Time will tell how reliable this solution will be and how well the cam batteries operate on their charge, especially as colder weather approaches. But having to periodically recharge is an expectation and trade-off when you embrace the convenience of eliminating the need for power wiring. Aside from the minimal setup quirks, overall I'm initially pleased with this purchase. ... show more

  • Eufy beats Arlo hands down. I'm running both.
Style: 2-Cam Kit
I've had three Arlo Pro 2 cameras for several years now and was fairly happy with them. They advertise "High Definition" video and when I saw the actual recordings, they're more like 800x600 or maybe 1024x768. Detection is slow and sometimes I catch people walking away from the house, but not approaching. Arlo Pro 2 was the last model that allowed 2 weeks of free online storage. All Newer Arlos require a subscription service to be even minimally useful (you can't view videos when away from the house if you don't subscribe). Batteries lasted a month, maybe two, which I thought was great. Arlo's online access has 2-factor which RARELY works first try. I have tried 3 push-notifications that never worked, and resorted to 2ndary option of SMS, which usually works. Many times, immediately after logging into the app or the website, I'm immediately logged out and told I need to log in again. Arlo frustrates me regularly. I got some Eufy cameras for additional surveillance of my car and front door. Video quality is better than Arlo, but still not what I would call HiDef like a HiDef movie or TV show. Different settings may yield higher quality, but I'm opting for battery life since video quality is good enough. The batteries TRULY last 180 days, which is AMAZING, considering they're capturing over 2,000 20-second video clips during that timeframe (using Optimal Battery Life setting). I can view videos anywhere for free. Online storage goes back at least 30 days!! I can set up an RTSP NAS device (like Ubiquiti - $200) to store videos locally, or you can use an SD card--but this card can't be removed and used in your computer to retrieve videos. You must access videos through the base station to decrypt them. They don't have easy-to-use local USB storage like Arlo, which is unfortunate. I've had a couple instances where our car left the parking spot and was not detected, but I get a notification when it then comes back--or the person at the front door has 10 or 20 seconds of their presence missing between clips or before/after a clip, but this is rare. I also have a notification for our front door (sound set to "Knock Knock") which is REALLY handy and instantaneous in most cases. Someone walks up and my phone alerts "Knock Knock" even before the doorbell rings (especially useful when deliveries are left). This is really cool when you're on vacation and you get a knock knock to find out a package was left--so you notify a neighbor to pick it up for you. At this point, Eufy is my recommendation for home cameras when compared to Arlo. I was given some newer Arlo cameras and was completely disappointed when I discovered I needed a subscription to use them, and the batteries only lasted a week or so. My years-old Arlo Pro 2 batteries still last a month, for cryin' out loud. Eufy's battery life of 4 months minimum (near my street parking, where every passing car triggers it) to 6 months (front door) is just amazing. Video quality is great--not excellent. Detection is really good, too. Storage, access, and usability meets all my needs. ... show more
