I have a Nanit baby cam as well as this Eufy cam. Since we get so many alerts on our phones daily, the alerts for my baby don't seem to stand out. Having a separate dedicated Baby Monitor and Camera is ideal for us. We also got an additional Spaceview camera to watch our 2nd bassinet. Our 2nd camera didn't pair at first because it was running a different firmware. The monitor/camera set came with the most up to date FW that was not compatible with the older camera we had. After we updated the camera FW to the latest, we had no issues with both cameras. The monitor can be set to sound an alarm when the detected noise level of the camera goes over a certain threshold (there are 5 levels). We typically use level 3 or 4. This is nice because we don't have to look at the monitor and can have it placed on a table while we do other things. We tried to have the display on all the time but found that the battery drained within a couple of hours. We now use the sleep function which sleeps the display but still alarms if the baby is crying. The wide lens is good if you are placing it near the crib/bassinet. We only use the wide lens right now. Overall, this is a good purchase from a good company. I would get again.

The media could not be loaded. This was a super simple set up. I believe all I did was set the time and date and then it just worked. The screen for the monitor is nice and big. I can see things really clearly and I can hear my kiddos super well on it. It works all through the night. Like even when the screen is off I can still hear them talking which I really like so I can hear if they call for me. The camera stays plugged in the whole night so no need for charging that. The video monitor stays charged anywhere from 2 to 3 nights. So it needs to be charged a little more frequently but I feel like that is still a pretty good range considering I have the volume running constantly. I have actually really loved this camera a lot and would totally recommend it to new mommas. I always wish I had something more like this when my kids were babies because my old one you could barely see anything!

PROS: This baby monitor is brought to you by the same company that specializes in video doorbells and security cameras, so it's no surprise they make great baby monitors, too! The resolution on this is amazing and much better than the one I had years ago. Ever wish mom could be in two places at once? Now you can---The one I had also had two way audio like this one (very comforting to babies), but what sets this apart is that it can pan all around the room. No eyes in the back of your head? No problem! You can also mount this up high so it is more inconspicuous (can double as a hidden nanny cam) but also so that you can see down into a crib or bassinet more easily to check on your little one. Because this doesn't have wifi, it's perfect for grandparents or people who may be less tech savvy with apps and whatnot. Also, for those who feel paranoid about your baby's every move being broadcast over wifi where hackers might see you breastfeeding. No, just me?! The battery has an 8hr charge life, which is super handy plus the range is 600 feet so you can take this with you to the kitchen or living room after baby is asleep and keep watch for those late night change/feed cycles. My old monitor didn't have a cry detect feature like this one, which is pretty neat! Of course depending on your sleep training method, this might go off more or less frequently but I love how technology is getting smarter and making things easier on parents. One super handy feature is that you can connect multiple cameras. So if you have more than one kid (hello twins/toddlers,etc), or just want more than one angle this can toggle between all of them. It's great for nurseries but also even just when you have an older kid who's sick and need to keep an eye on both overnight (also as mentioned previously they can double as security cameras for peace of mind so you can hide the ice cream when dad gets home or get dressed when the parents drop by by unannounced (they have a way of doing that but who can blame them, babies are irresistible). CONS: I will say these days I would expect it to have a smart app so that I don't have to carry the separate xtra monitor around the house. This may or may not be a con for you if you prefer not to drain your battery, or constantly glance over at the screen while you are on your phone. This isn't a Ring camera, so don't expect it to have as many features as some of the other high security gadgets these days do. Some of the monitors by the same brand do have other features, so you can decide what is best for you if you need the ability to record events or mount on the crib or track baby vitals, etc. They have all sorts of bells and whistles if you pay more. I'm just waiting for them to come out with an AI nanny.

Overall, I really like this baby monitor. It's one of the better quality sets I have come across. It comes with two different lenses, one having a wider view which is nice. It was easy to swap between lenses. It is simple to use and doesn't require an app or wifi which I liked. Picture quality is very good both day and night. I like that I can pan and tilt the camera all from the monitor. Two way audio is works better than expected and sounds very clear. Overall, this baby monitor has all the features you need and performs very well.
