Eufy has done it again with this Camera. This unit is AWESUM. Full of features (putting other camera companies to shame... hint hint Wyze) and the APP is GREAT compared to others. VERY user friendly. And of course the number 1 selling point for me. NO FEES!!!!!! NO EXTRA Monthly costs!!!! (if you do not want to use their cloud services) Hey a micro SD card works for me, no need for any one else to have access to anything I record. (Ya I know all companies say their clouds are private and secure... And they all are till they are not. Think about it.) The video is crisp and clear and no or very little lag. GREAT CAMERA!!!!!!!! Will be buying more of these cameras to replace others I have. UPDATE: 13 Feb 2023: I have to update this review due to the POOR customer service I've received from EUFY. This company used to be OK. I've got other cameras, and when I had issues in the past they were right on it to either fix or replace their product. Well something has drastically changed. I brought this camera over christmas time and it worked great till about 3 weeks ago. Then it stopped recording motion. It will record if you select continuous, but not just motion. I contacted Eufy multiple times looking for a fix. In the past I've had this issue and they promptly replaced the camera. This time however they keep saying they are aware of the issue and an update will fix it.... WHEN??????? Still waiting....... Still Waiting. Here is another thing I had to contact them multiple time just to get a response. Never was like that before. Sad a good company going BAD. I stand by what I wrote above as this is a GREAT camera for resolution and NO Service Fees, but seems like their customer service and issues are going to kill this company. I very much considering sending this camera packing and NEVER buying EUFY again. Buyer beware. UPDATE - 14 Mar 2023 - It really pains me that I have to add this review, but people need to be aware. In the past I have PRAISED EUFY for their quality and customer service on their cameras, but sadly as of late they are and have FALLEN Hard. Here's the story... So back in Dec 2022 I purchased this camera. It worked GREAT till EUFY did a software/firmware upgrade. From that point on it would not record motion. It would still record continuous 24/7, but not dect/record motion. Contacted EUFY and was told they knew about this issue and would be releasing a new firmware update soon. Well that was months ago. Anyways about a month ago I contacted them again to ask where the firmware update was... No date. So I told them I wanted my money back or a new camera. They sent me a new Camera and told me to keep the one I already had. Cool... Freebee. Great. It worked as advertised till It made me do the firmware update a day later. From that point on it had the same issue as above. Whatever.. Guess I can wait for the firmware update. Then last week the freebee camera they sent me stopped working all together. Keeps falling off line no matter what I do. Will not come on line unless I reset it, and then falls right back off line. Can't really call and complain to EUFY again now since they already gave me a freebee, so now I have one camera that does not work and one that works kinda. Not good. It seems like there is a trend here that EUFY's products are not living up to what they should. Shame too 'cause their visuals for their cameras are the best I've found for the price. But that being said, what good is that if the functionality isn't there. So here's where I stand for EUFY Cameras... I will not buy anymore of their cameras/products until they get their products fixed and I suggest others do the same... Let them fix their issues or fall through the floor. UPDATE: 25 Mar 2024: Changing my review once again... Sorry peoples. :-) Anyways since EUFY fixed their previous software update the cameras are working again as advertised. GREAT Cameras. Sorry if I confused whomever with previous reviews. I would recommend this product and would/will buy again. NO MONTHLY FEES!!!!!!!! Why can't other manufactures get it... We buy your product... We do not want to pay repeatedly for it's use.

I read through the negative reviews to see what I was getting myself in for first and decided it was worth it. So far this is a great little device, easy to set up, easy to use, good quality images, and all for a pretty cheap price. A couple of things I saw repeatedly in the negative reviews: 1) It's annoying because it captures everything, even when you're home walking around. My response: If you leave it on, of course it does. But you can turn it off directly from the device or from the app when you're away. You can even unplug it and it won't keep watching you. It's amazing how turning something off... actually turns it off 2) It makes you pay for the subscription. My response: No it doesn't. You can skip that step in the setup. Admittedly it took me a few seconds to figure out how to not have to sign up for their cloud if you don't have an SD card, but then I saw the "skip this step" option and guess what? I skipped this step. It means I can't save recorded files, but I can still live stream. I suppose if you're using this for security purposes and think you may need a recorded file in case something happens then it won't work for that purpose. But also, what do you expect from a $40 device? Get a real security camera. Use this one for watching your pets or your baby from the other room. 3) It stopped working. My response: Ok I've only used it for a few days so maybe I'll update when I've had it longer. But for this price, if it breaks in a year or so, I won't mind. If it breaks next week... different story. Overall, if you want it to have fun spying on your pets, don't let the negative reviews steer you away. This little thing does the trick of proving to me that when I'm not home, my pets are pretty boring. EDIT - ORIGINAL POST - NOV 2023, EDIT FEB 2025 - It finally pooped out and I bought a new one, same one. Why? Because a year and a half of my cats entertaining me for $40 was well worth it. If I want something of better quality, I'll pay for better quality. I don't need or want it, and for what I got with my money, I'm more than happy.

It works well; serves its purpose. I already had Eufy doorbell and spotlight camera, so thought I would get this one for indoor. Someone mentioned that once it pans it does not return to its original position - that is true. I end up having to rotate it back to the original position. I just turned the pan feature off. I gave it 4 stars because it does produce good pictures. The night vision works good.

They capture everything regardless of the amount of lighting in the room. They even have privacy settings. The app was easy to navigate. I am happy with my choice. This was a game changer for me. Although the e340 doorbell I got works okay, it doesn't let me download images I just get black with sound no matter where I download it from Portal or app. But it does display and I can screen cap it. That's the e340, this particular camera though? I have no complaints. It works just as I would want it to and I am happy I got it. They seem like a good bunch and they are receptive we haven't got to the bottom of the the e340 doorbell and I have tried and tried and it will not download images on my Motorola Android cell phone but it works on pc. This particular camera, the indoor camera that I'm reviewing, it downloads images everywhere perfectly from the phone app portal remotely. I need it because I had scumbags move in next door to me in an apartment complex. He has what I am safely assuming addicts coming through and buying and Amazon packages were getting stolen in the area. From him and his so-called guests. This gives me great peace of mind when I have to go to a doctor's appointment, the grocery store down the street, I can just tune in to the app and watch what's going on in my home or in front of my door using the eufy home base 3. It's excellent It's a good setup. My only complaint is for the doorbell that I've got that it doesn't let me download on the phone but there are workarounds and it's not a deal-breaker. It worked in the beginning and if I wanted to take the time to unsync everything and resync everything, which is a task, it would probably work I'm assuming as it did initially. But I changed a bunch of settings and now no matter what I do the doorbell won't download natively on Android you get a file but it's not shareable but however it can be viewed in certain applications, like vcf. But all I got to do is go to the computer and download it and it'll be fine. In this particular camera I have found zero problems with. And it's a deal for the price it gives me great piece of mind the camera tracking is good the night vision is good the alarm that goes off when it perceives movement in your home when you're gone is good it'll send notification to your phone it's amazing. Yeah it's a five-star I'm glad I have it. Wish I could get that doorbells download straightened out but you know counting workarounds it's damn near perfect as well I wish I could just natively download on it but I'm super happy that it just works. Anyways I hope that helps this is a good camera it works well it does everything it's supposed to do and I'm actually surprised that it's functionality and capabilities for the price.

I’m writing this review without comparison to other brands. ( I have not tried other brands ) - I started with “eufyCam 2C 2-Cam kit”. For a beginner and new to the security camera world it was a very good start especially that I did not have to pay for a monthly subscription. But after starting to understand how things should be, the system was not as amazing to me anymore because there was a lot of false detection, including the plants moving in the wind and the cars passing by. * Adding “eufy HomeBase3” resolved the false/car detection which saved me a headache caused by the endless notifications but since then the cameras do not detect pets/animals at all. * Also the battery in both cameras went bad after a year so I had to purchase “eufy Solar Panel Charger”. So far they are the only devices I don’t have a complaint about. - At some point I added “eufy Indoor Cam E220 Pan & Tilt”. That wasn’t the best from the beginning, but the more improvements come to the market that camera gets more and more annoying with false detections or no detections. Even connecting it to the “HomeBase3” did not make this cam any smarter. Also this cam has a not so smooth tracking the object experience. It always misses the most important events and only captures me & the furniture. Very rarely it picks up my pets if at all. - “eufy Pet Water Fountain” is an OK device. However, there are two problems with it. 1- there is a black residue that comes out of the motor inside it, and sits at the bottom of the bowl. 2- the top part is stained for whatever reason and I can’t remove that stain. Other than that it’s working fine. - “eufy RoboVac X8”, I purchased this a little over a year ago, and at the beginning it was very amazing. Picking up my pet hair nicely, and all features worked fine. But now in my new place, although it’s a smaller one, it cannot manage the map and the suction doesn’t work properly. It misses spots to clean and it’s not very good with pet hair as much anymore. Customer service thinks that the roller brush holder is worn off, and that’s why it’s not cleaning as it did before. - “eufy Indoor Cam S350”. I just purchased this one a few days ago and already not happy with it. the picture quality is good but like the other indoor cam, it doesn’t have the smoothest tracking experience, and it has not picked up my pets, not even once. Well, to be honest, it picked them once, but as a human, not pets. But at least not like the other cam, this one doesn’t have a problem with the furniture so far, it only doesn’t like me. I also turned off the notifications, but it kept sending me those notifications for a couple of days before it stops. I am going to give it a few more days and if it doesn’t do good, it will go back. - “eufy Video Smart Lock S330”. I would probably give this one 3 1/2 stars. It made the life way easier not having to look for my keys since I always come home with something in my hands. The problem with it is that the touch will fail 3 out of 5. The camera doesn’t capture some of the events especially if they happen quickly. For each event, it gives me at least 2 notifications which is really annoying. The battery is very good but when it’s almost empty, it takes 4 hours to recharge. For this one, you need to have a spare battery specially, if there is going to be too many triggers. It has some settings that you can reduce triggering the camera but they work only if you have enough space between the object and the camera. They don’t work for me because I don’t have that space/distance. - “eufy Video Doorbell 2K (Battery-Powered)”, this one has almost the same problems as the Video Smart Lock, but I didn’t get to use this device for long because I purchased the Video Smart Lock and put this one away. - “eufy Security SmartTrack Card, these ones work fine. Although that the devices have not been the best, at least not to my expectation, but the customer service is very responsive and helpful. If I have to rate the devices and the customer service separately, I will give 3 1/2 to the devices and 4 1/2 to the customer service.
