I have used other e-collars before but this one is SPECIAL. I have two dogs and I usually find it difficult to switch from one dog to another with other e-collars. But for this product I found it to be more functional and easier to use. I love the ability that it stays on specific dogs with specific collar and specific level of vibration. You don't have to change it once you set it up. It allows immediate correction of dog behaviors and can be easily distinguished between the two. Also, the overall design is good. The screen looks durable and I think it cannot be broken easily. I found my dogs behave well when using the collar. We got this for our dog as she keeps barking at other dogs for no reason. I'm not even going to speculate why since it will just open up a can of worms discussion. But with this, she seemed to care more now on about what we ask her. I only have used the shock one or two times when she was a brat the moment we got this and on the purpose of using this the first time too. And we've got this the for a long time and used the sound and the vibrate only ever since. Before using it to our dog though, I used it onto myself first and I was able to feel the shock uncomfortably at number 8. And 5 would be the weakest for my bare skin. The issue I believe is the lag, one's you press the button you don't get the shock for less than 2 seconds. So you might be pressing it longer until you get a reaction while you're dog is getting shocked for two more seconds. Buttons are great, with protection feature for the shock button as it is separate and color coded. And even before you use it, you have to arm it first by toggling a switch. I believe this is a good product, you just have to learn it by experiencing it. Besides if you love your dog that much, you'll share it with them whatever it takes. I would recommend this device. Easy to use
UPDATE: Excellent customer service. Within a couple of days of writing my review the company reached out to me and immediately sent me a replacement and I sent back the defective one. I will update the stars when I use the new one. 2 stars: It was easy to use for a young puppy for the sound and vibrate but for a large dog the shock does not work at all. Gets My Dog to Stop Barking!
I recently got a Basset Hound mix who LOVES to bark at any other dog she sees. This became a bit of an issue with my apartment being on the 1st floor and looking out to the main sidewalk where everyone walks their dogs. This collar really helps bring peace and quiet to my apartment again though. While I never use the shock feature, the beeping and vibrating work very well to stop my dog from barking. The beeping usually seems to distract her, while the vibration startles her and sends her running away from the patio. I do wish there was a way to tone down the vibrations, but overall it seems to work well! Waste of money
Purchased the training collar March 23. I charged the units two weeks later. I only used the collar in beeping mode. June 1st the unit stopped working. It no longer beeps nor vibrates. It worked on my dog while training for half hour a day but if it lasts only two months, it is a waste of money.

Great Training Collar
We have been using this collar for around 9 months with our aloof male Dalmation who is now 18 months old. He completely ignores the tone function but the vibration function has been very effective. We have been training him for recall using the vibration and it has worked wonders. He already had a strong recall using the "come" command and this reinforces it. We purchased this device in preparation to transition to a GPS collar on our 8 acre property so he is familiar with the recall using vibration and knows to mind the boundaries and to check-in with us when he gets close to them. We looked at many other more expensive collars and this has been absolutely perfect for us and has held up beautifully. We actually just purchased a second one as a spare incase ours ever quits working although we don't forsee that happening anytime soon. ... show more

It's like having a new dog

My beloved standard poodle discovered that staying outside for hours to chase birds and squirrels was more fun than coming in when called. We live in the country with an unfenced yard. If I tried to drive off without her she would follow me out to the road. Suddenly we found ourselves in the position of not being able to let her out unless we were going to be home for hours. This caused accidents in the house and we were at wit's end. I tried the collar on myself to make sure that I wasn't tasing my dog. With the collar on 4, I had to use the correction precisely twice. Now I just use the beep and she comes running to me. I thought she would hate the collar but when I get it out she runs to me to put it on because she associates the collar with going outside and not with pain. not very durable
I purchased this in may to replace the bulky e-collar our trainer left us for my dog. I like the adjustable collar which makes it easier to ensure it's not too tightly on the my dog. I love the vibrate feature as my dog responds to that much quicker and better than the shock feature. The only reason I am giving a low rating is after several month the collar stopped working. The collar and remote is charged but nothing happens after i press the buttons...no sounds, vibration or shock. Really disappointed with the durability of the product. I guess there's a reason why this collar was so cheap. ... show more
