Iโve used this product for hand washing for a few years now. All the scents are great. It cleans well and you donโt have to rinse afterwards. A bit pricey but not a lot is required for each basin so it lasts. Recommend.

Wool and other delicate items maintain their inherent properties and are not damaged by Eucalan (assuming proper usage/proper washing). Great product; better for clothing, yourself and environment than dry cleaning chemicals.

I like Eucalan for my fine woolen hand and gentle machine washables. I've tried several of the fragrances, but Lavendar is my favorite. I do rinse it out, but it states that rinsing is not necessary.

If you knit, you already know you need to block. If you sew you know you need to pretreat your fabric and some stuff just can't be thrown into a washing machine. I really care about my clothes, I make most of them and I want them to last. This stuff works on all your fabrics that you are terrified to wash silk, linen and wool, does a great job with stains too. I dislike washing directly in my sink since the water drains out. Get a plastic tub that fits a bunch of documents, fill it up a few inches in the sink and put in a cap full of this stuff and wash a few items. Swish your items around in cold/cool water for 3-5 minutes, agitation, that's what gets stuff clean. Set a timer and actually do it. Let it soak for another 10-15 minutes if you have the time. Sometimes I rinse sometimes I don't. This stuff gets out stains and weird smells from stuff I get at the thrift store. I hand wash a few times a week and a bottle lasts forever. I have hand washed vintage silk dresses with this stuff, even a winter coat. I don't go to the dry cleaner much unless I need a good steam press. Towel dry, or hang it and run a dehumidifier. With all the money you save not paying for dry cleaning or destroying your clothes, buy a really good iron. Then have a moment of silence for all the pretty clothes that you have destroyed using a washing machine or the wrong soap. I prefer the non-scented. The scented stuff really lingers, so if you don't like the way it smells you are going to smell it when you have the garment on.

I have a fine-tuned nose and the lavender scent IS very strong if you are the type of person (like me) who has cut any artificial fragrances or strong smells out of their home. Re: no perfume, air fresheners, fake scents in soap, detergent, etc etc. the only scents I use in products are essential oil based, which are usually pretty mild/not long lasting. If you're like me and don't use chemically-based scented products, the smell of this on your clothes may feel like a perfumey assault to the senses. I cannot imagine wearing a sweater that was washed in this. It would be way too much. I have a hard time believing the smell is ONLY lavender essential oil as they claim because it just smells well, different and more intense than lavender essential oil. And trust me, I use a lot of that stuff. I am using this cleaner for wool diaper covers and at first the smell is too much for me...I really hate that after putting a cover on my babe, my hands smell like this lavender perfume smell for a long time. And like I said, not like the fresh, simple natural lavender smell either. BUT after a week of use of the wool covers, the smell fades and I feel somewhat grateful that the wools don't stink and still smell lightly pleasant. So I do think it might masks the urine smell a bit more than unscented would...but I have only used this one so don't have a lot to compare to. My next bottle I'll probably get unscented to try it out...and maybe add my own scent. If anybody gets any info on if there truly is an additional scent added in here, I'd love to know. Update: after months of use, the smell (surprise) really doesn't bother me anymore...Not sure if I've grown accustomed to it or it's because I find I am able to use less soap than I was initially. Still liking this product, and happy that a little goes a long way with this bottle.
