I'm a Southern California resident in a high fire area and our new normal has been for our power companies to shut down our power. I could see the writing on the wall for the need for alternative energy as our new normal, so after a power shut down last week for 2 days I went on the hunt for something I could afford that would be easy for a woman to move. This arrived on the same day as they once again shut off our power. It was kind of a pain to put on the wheels, and they forgot to include the funnel for the oil, but all in all I feel like I got a great deal. With a dual option of using gasoline or propane, we used propane, easy, cleaner and less maintenance but liked the two fuel options because you never know when they'll be a run on propane. We were pleasantly surprised at the noise level compared to all of our surrounding neighbors who were also running generators day and night. It took a little time the first time we turned it on to get it idling smoothly, but once it did we were very pleased with its performance, especially given the price.     • Not whisper quiet, but quieter than all others I've tried in the 3500 watt range.
For a few dollars more, I got the Dual Fuel model. I was pleased to see that it came with a Propane connection hose and regulator. I thought I'd have to buy it separately. I was also pleased to see that the wheels are very sturdy and have real ball bearings. I haven't seen that in very many small generators. It started on the first pull with Propane and runs great. I've only put a 1500 watt load on it so far, but barely noticed any change in engine sound. The price is excellent, specially if you compare it to Honda... I wondered if it was made in china, but stopped wondering when the manual said use the "CHOCK" instead of "choke" when starting the engine. Other oddly used words confirmed a foreign make, then on the bottom of the unit I saw a sticker that said "made in china". That having been said, it seems like a sturdy unit, and even has a 12 VDC output and cable to charge your car battery, if your car still has one of those... ... show more

    • Good value for the money
The generator came with a broken choke lever and broken air filter housing. I was sent a new choke valve and air filter. The air filter was the wrong one, apparently there is a different air filter for the gas model and the duel fuel model, I have the duel fuel model and was sent air filter for gas model, it is a little smaller. Tried to contact the company several times was tolled that either all reps were helping other customers or I called after hours. I gave up trying and will rig something that works. ... show more

    • Started right up, but loud.
I got this generator and started it for the first time today. It had a broken gas line and dumped fuel immediately. Luckily my husband was able to fix it. It is incredibly loud, but overall, works just fine so far.

I bought it for the price but very happy so far. Its noisy and seems to be cheaply made but it works great so far I probably have about 70 hours so far.

Overall nice and works well. Product is not duel fuel as description suggests both gas and propagne. The choke switch was broken off and I found it in the bottom of the box works fine however had to repair the switch
