  • Delta awesome so far.

The noise level of the fan is not bad at all. Even when pulling 1400 wats to run the Keurig. Ran the heated mattress in camper all night for 2 nights. It was only pulling like 50 wats. Fan never turned on. So far a great product. Time will tell in the long term. Fast charge is amazing. Now that I have owned and used the Delta for 1 year, I still think it is amazing. 2 best features are its high output inverter that can run anything that you can run off a standard household outlet. The second being its 2 hour recharge time. Will this replace your generator for camping? No. Is it the perfect companion to your generator while camping? yes. We use the Ecoflow Delta to run the Keurig for coffee in the morning (it definitely such the juice out of it), so I have nice cup of coffee to drink while I go outside and start big pot for the whole camp. We have used it to run an ice maker for the camp party. It works great to watch a movie with 32 in lcd tv and dvd player. We have an outdoor projector and take the dvd player outside and set it all up for a late night outdoor camp theater. I have used it to charge my sur-ron, but it can only give it about a 30% charge very large battery 1900+ watt hours. Have run my 12v fridge off it while car camping, also run my joolca hot water system with it. Charged phones and portable speakers. As i mentioned before we love the bed heaters in our hybrid camp trailer (Shamrock) for cold weather camping, delta will run one of those for 2 nights at medium heat without having to recharge. It does all these things flawlessly, it just can't do it for ever. This is where the generator comes it now I only run the generator when I need to charge the Delta back up or my sur-ron. I just make sure they are plugged in and in like 2 hrs I am back in business. I now have power when the generators are supposed to be off after 10pm in most camps. I am sure you could build a system that could do all of this into your camper, and probably cheaper, but we also camp out of a van some times and the Delta is portable and can just be loaded in whatever I am taking. We camp 50+ nights a summer so it got a lot of use last year. I would by another one if this one bit the bucket, just because we love and use it so much. I have never used it as home backup device so cant speak to than. I do have a 100w dokio foldable solar panel I have used with it, but it only puts out like 40 to 50 watts most of the time so it would take a very long time to charge that way. I am sure if you had it hooked up to 300 to 400 watts solar it would work quite well as a solar generator. But in my use if you have generator that can charge it they just work amazingly together. I do with it had more than 1 12volt cigaret style outlet as i use the one it has allot, but have to unplug the fridge to plug in the water heater. Minor gripe. And if I bough another ecoflow I might go for the pro model with even more battery power. As others have stated you won't met the full 1200 watt hours out of it, more like 900-1000, but i knew that going in from reviews. For how we use it the ecoflow delta is the shit. ... show more

7 days before Christmas, we were hit with yet another rainstorm in the Northeast. We were without power for 3 days. My brother loaned me his EcoFlow to get us through the blackout. I was very impressed with the unit, ease of operation and portability. We were able to get 10 hours of up-time per charge. It kept our fridge going so the food did not spoil. Recharge time was less than 2 hours. I was so impressed, I purchased two units as our backup for future storms. One will be dedicated to the fridge and the other one we will use for our devices, laptops, electric kettle and toaster oven. ... show more

I bought this unit for two reasons: 1. Power for a remote toolshed for lighting and powering tools. 2. As a backup power source in case of outages. For #1 drills, sawz-all, shop-vac and lights work just fine. Large circular saw did not and I knew that would be iffy. Just keep in mind the watt hour limit of the battery. Nice readouts for power consumption. Do the math and you have a pretty good idea of how long it will last. For #2 haven't tried the fridge in kitchen but the dorm style fridge works just fine. Definitely enough to power a cable modem and router. Even during Superstorm Sandy there was no power but cable was working. Go figure. It isn't enough to power a house or large appliances but other creature comforts are covered. At least there are options. The unit is heavy but that was expected. Remarkably compact too. No surprises there. An additional feature that maybe i missed is a cover for the unit. It looks like its water resistant or proof. I guess so it can be left out doors. Not sure I'd do that. Plpus there are slots to handle the grounding prong on three prong plugs. The three methods of charging are great. I tried the wall outlet and soalr panel. Haven't tried the cr lighter option yet. May seem expensive but its like insurance. When you need it you'll be glad to have it. UPDATE Yet another power outage. While sufficient for LED light bulbs, a TIVO box, and a TV, decided for the ultimate challenge of a fridge. Rolled the Whirlpool Gallery fridge away from the wall and plugged it in. Opened the door and reset the power outage notice. Watching the unit, the consumption crept up to about 170 watts. The readout told me I had about 4+ hours of charge left. That's alright. Good enough to keep the frozen stuff frozen and the cold stuff cold. When the power came back recharged from an outlet in abuot an hour. Perfect. Have not regretted buying this unit. Was a lifesaver during a 18 hour power outage. ... show more
