I bought one of these smaller versions from Westinghouse, the iGen160s, very small and easy to carry around, but saw that the larger and more powerful station, the iGen200s was on sale at the same price, so I ordered 2 more for my children's bedrooms during our annual hurricane season in New Orleans. These ae great machines to keep your smaller electronic devices powered up during storms or whenever your electricity fails. Light weight, will charge 7 or 8 devices simultaneously, and good battery life span. Great emergency equipment. Then I bought the iGen300s and just received this larger unit, so I’m charging it up now. We have been advised by our Entergy Co. that we should be prepared to go off grid anywhere between 10-21 days depending on the severity of the storm. After Katrina, we take hurricane season very seriously and any tools that make life less unbearable are good tools, but these come with good value for the dollar and 2 year warranties. ... show more

This product arrived quickly and was almost fully charged, which turned out to be a HUGE lifesaver. We had been without power due to some powerful storms for about 12 hours when the iGen 300s arrived. We immediately plugged in phones and a laptop! Fully charged and feeling safe!

    • Totally Useless. Buyer Beware!!

Just received it yesterday. Charged it overnight. Used it to charge my phone and hearing aids. Worked great. Tried it on CPAP machine. Works well -- registers only 3-10 watts. Should get 4-5 nights use for CPAP on a single charge. Looks perfect for my anticipated uses -- camping and backup during power outages. Will update review after a three week camping trip later this month. Disappointing!!! Minimal usefulness during a four week camping trip. After a full charge, it operated my CPAP machine (humidity off, meter showing about 4 watts) for only 4hr 40min. Wasn't able to use this for anything but charging hearing aids and a phone -- 3 hrs of charging at 4.5 watts for 3 nights. This does NOT hold 296 Wh!!! It stops working when the meter shows 3 bars. Re-charges with solar in about 4 hours. But doesn't hold enough power to be useful for what I needed. Will contact seller/manufacturer and update review. UPDATE: After a few days use, charging each day, the battery has gone from bad to useless! Doesn't store enough power to charge even my cell phone at 4 watts. Westinghouse informed me that I have no warranty because the Amazon seller was not an authorized distributor even though it looked like I was buying from Amazon, which is an authorized distributor. BEWARE who you buy from. TOTALLY DECEPTIVE!!! Westinghouse does not stand by their products and their products are not both the plastic they're made of.
