This whole bean coffee from Etnia is a feast for the senses when you first open the can. The aromatics of the whole beans is wonderful, and loses none of its scent when ground for coffee. The price point is slightly higher than what I pay locally for whole bean coffee similar to this.

I got the whole beans, and they were super easy to prepare for brewing. They grounded up perfectly fine, and they smelled delightful! It is a rich scent AND flavor once brewed. I used a French press to brew these, put a few scoops and some hot water, and it tasted amazing with a hint of smokiness which I loved!

My hesitation in purchasing this unknown brand was quickly replaced with curiosity the moment I opened my package. The canister alone tells you how meticulously these beans were prepared for brewing. It is well designed, reusable, and resealable. It does an amazing job at keeping the beans fresh not only through shipping but all the way to the last bean going into the grinder. Upon opening the tin, the fresh, bold aroma from the beans came through. The beans were glossy with natural bean oils, but not so much that they clogged the grinder. The brew was delightful. It made one heck of a bold, rich, smooth cup of joe! There was no need to add cream and sugar. It was the perfect medium roast flavor, and not too acidic either!

I'm a bit of a coffee fanatic, and I generally stick to my favorite brand but like to experiment now and then. I love this coffee. It tastes great, comes in a canister so it's easy to store and keep fresh. A nice dark roast that makes a good espresso or just black. Good stuff.

This makes for a really excellent cup of coffee! It's not a brand I've ever heard of before, but I will now remember for the future. It comes in a air-tight can. Opening it up and the beans are nice and dark with a good bit of oil (but not too much!) I grind them fairly course in a burr grinder and they came out great. See my photos to see the whole beans and the ground beans. I have been making coffee with my french press for a while now, so that's how I tried this one. Course grind, about 12 grams of coffee and 400 grams of hot water for 4 minutes, stir to cause ground to sink, 4 more minutes and scoop off anything still floating. Press and pour. The flavor is really nice, deep and dark, but not too dark. Obviously this can be controlled to taste with the amount of coffee and the brew time, but I like how it comes out the way I made it.
