This is one of my favorite top coats! It’s very easy to apply. It only gets thick when the bottle is almost empty so less waste of product, and dries very fast! I can do almost anything 15 minutes after, besides dishes or other activities that will directly band into my nails, and I can touch my nails within two minutes. My nails are in recovery from gel polish so I’m trying this set for the first time. Surprisingly it dried faster than I expected. I applied 2 thin coats of “put on the patchwork” and waited 2 minutes to dry in between each coat before applying top coat. This color is more of a berry/plum, not a red as I expected. But I’m not mad at the results. For the longest wear I suggest starting on dry hands (don’t wash hands prior), prep cuticles, then wipe all nails clean with alcohol to remove all oil residue before applying step 1 color. The top coat gives a beautiful gloss!

Solid top coat, and lately it’s been my go-to since I’m digging the matte effect. Good: - Essie always has great applicator brushes so it goes on smoothly. - It lasts at least a week without chipping. I change my polish every week so can’t speak to longer, but I’m happy with the durability. Meh: - It could be more matte. The pic is immediately after applying and it’s pretty good, but could it be even more matte? Heck yeah. - Matte effect could last longer. After a few days natural body oils and rubbing of nails against clothes, etc, start to make it shinier. It’s fairly shiny by the end of the week. Overall solid, as I expect from Essie.

Lasts a long time. I bought this with the top coat and another color, I’m very happy. Lasts well over a week without chipping and thats with lots of handwashing and house work. The week I tried this I was doing heavy housework, my hands were in water way more than normally and it lasted.

I bought the gel couture kit with Fairy Tailor. It came quickly. This was my first time using Essie polish. I love this polish! I type all day and this holds up better than gel for me. It lasts 3 to 4 weeks for me with no chipping. My problem is the nail grows and I have a gap between the polish and cuticle. I am very hard on my nails and it lasts long. Also comes off easily with nail polish remover. I use remover with acetone.
