Note：The first cold brew coffee made after it has cooled down may still be warm. 1.Why is there no response when pressing the cold brew button after finishing hot coffee brewing or steaming? 1.If display shows >104°F, pressing cold brew triggers 3 beeps (no action). 2.Power off and restart. Double-tap "Cold Brew" to drain & cool (use a cup for hot water). Below 104°F, press cold button to resume. Note: First cold brew may remain warm. 2.Why does the pressure gauge not reset to zero when the machine is idle? 1. You need to manually release the pressure after finishing brewing. 2. If the gauge isn't at '0' when idle, turn on the steam knob to release pressure. 3.Why is there a leak occur? 1. If the handle is leaking, please check if the handle is installed correctly. 2. Ok let’s talk. First why you should read my review: I have many years experience in the world of coffee managing coffee shops, maintaining and repairing espresso equipment, and roasting both as a job and at home. My current stable of espresso machines includes an 18 year old Delonghi and a 31 year old Saeco that was sold by Starbucks under the Estro Vapore name along side several ibrik, presses, pour overs, and so on. Next, let’s level set expectations. This is NOT a prosumer or enthusiast level machine. It will never be as good as a Delonghi, Breville, Gaggia or the like so of that is what you are looking for, please feel free to stop here. This is a relatively inexpensive entry level no experienced required machine that has a built in grinder and a portafilter system that means no matter how bad your coffee is you will have a “crema”. It is not a bad first step, and for the price you won’t feel too bad if you decide home spreads isn’t for you or that you want one of those more expensive machines. What you get: This is a fairly compact metal bodied machine with an adjustable grinder and a roomy removable water tank. It comes with a 51mm, 3 ear (5.5mm tall) portafilter with a pressurized basket. This basically means the filter has one hole instead of a fine mesh of holes. This builds additional pressure inside the basket which is why you always get that air quoted crema. It also includes a set of the accessories you need to prepare espresso, stem milk, and keep it all clean. Only thing missing is knock box and you should get one because your plants, surprisingly, live spent coffee grounds. Set up is simple. Unpack and unwrap, grind some beans and discard to clear the burrs, and run a bunch of water through the group head (press brew a bunch of times) and through the steam wand. It comes preset to a 15 second grind and a 26 second brew at 203° F. The brew time includes a 5 second pre-wet which helps extraction. You will want to adjust the grind and brew time to get about a 2:1 ratio but I will let you look that up when you are ready. It heats up ridiculously fast which is nice as it turns off after 20 minutes so you will need to heat it up again for a second cup. I do have questions about the claim of a 20 bar pump. I should be able to get that with or without a pressurized filter for that to be true. At best with a regular portafilter I get 9 which is the absolute lowest needed to extract espresso. There is also a cold brew function. I am not at all sure how that actually works but it isn’t cold brew. It tasted weak and was still acidic where a true cold brew has almost no acidity. But as I went get it for that function, I am not willing to ding it. Overall this a starter machine, or in my case a fall back machine I can use while running maintenance or for travel when I don’t want to lug my main machine and for that it is perfectly fine. ... show more

This espresso machine shelled out less than one year, I tried for a month to get ahold of their customer service, they never answered, at that point the warranty was up. I recommended NOT to buy this machine due to the giant lack of no customer service

If you're a beginner like me, you can make a decent cup of coffee right after set up. The manual has very clear instructions and troubleshooting tips. It comes with lots of tools and I like that the steam pitcher has measurements. This was my second cup of coffee made on the default setting with the grinder set at 6. You can adjust the time for the grinder as well as single and double shot pulls. The steam wand is stronger than my last espresso machine which I love. As you can see by the lack of foam, I need more practice with it. Like other steam wands I've used, it spits water to start, so let it run until steam comes out. Then shut it off and turn it back on when your pitcher is in place. Overall Im really happy with this espresso machine. Im sure my coffee will improve after playing around with some of the settings. ... show more
