A few false readings from stores and what not and it doesnt auto pair with my phone if i dont have the app open. But if the app is open it does. the GPS lockout feature is also 100/100. The app is easy to use, there is even a small amount of customization in the app and the detector. It allows you to change the color, brightness, volume, and specific band lockout. The app also has 2 modes(?), a "over view" where it looks like google maps, and a "dashboard" where it looks more like the dash of a car with the speed displayed in the middle. I find this extreamly usefull while on my motorcycle as i have changed the sprocets for more acceleration and that has made its speedo inaccurate. I will be buying a second one soon so i dont have to keep moving it from one vehicle to the next. ... show more

Love it so far! I love how you can save false alarm locations such as stores that set it off etc! The app looks great so far as well. I look forward to using it for leisure and I drive a 🚚 3rd shift for work. Great product!

    • App broken, core functionality does not work
My unit has been in for service 3 times now, each time coming back with a software update that claims that it fixes the problem. When connected to the iOS companion app, the unit fails to make notifications of alerts and fails to make changes to the radar settings. When bluetooth connected, the device is stuck in what the manual calls "cruise mode", a feature that is supposed to reduce alerts when traveling below 20 MPH. You get a low volume "beep beep" one time. When traveling at speed, you are supposed to get a standard loud alert based on the signal strength. Nothing better than driving past a speed trap and your radar detector is not making a sound. The app does not configure settings like the overspeed alert. The phone GPS is supposed to provide speed to the unit (it is horribly inaccurate, showing traveling at 15 MPH when the car is stopped). So you get "OVERSPEED ALERT" yelled at you when you're running no where near the limit. You can't turn this feature off either because the app is broken. Support offered no options for a unit that has not worked since initial purchase November 2017. Just promise of "oh there's a firmware update coming...." ... show more

I bought this radar detector in order to have an upgrade over my old IX from escort. I would have rather saved some money to buy a much better model as this one gets triggered easily by cars radar cruise control and does not show the current speed unless its paired to the escort app. Honestly the range is forth the price, as I would get alerts a mile earlier than on the IX but I still prefer the IX. ... show more

Bought this radar before moving from ca to az while pulling a trailer and the radar worked exactly as it’s supposed to. Only really use KA band. Radar lit up quite a few times at least 30 seconds to 1 minute before passing highway patrol which was perfect. I have the radar set up at the bottom center of my windshield and it picked up waves in-front and behind me. Overall a solid radar for not paying the $400/$500 range. ... show more

This was the cheapest ESCORT available. My third. First 2 were AA battery powered and worked well. One still works. Sort of. Anyway, I wanted something not 20 years old. Had it a couple of weeks and I like it. One thing though. Even sitting on the car seat it gets hot. I can hold it, but it's hot. I've gotta check that out. ... show more
