Hi folks... I have bought backup cameras from this company before... both installed in Honda Elements that I have upgraded the audio systems with a head unit that could do backup camera display. I can say that they have lasted years and are still working great! I had an idea... and I was pleased to see that the manufacturer upgraded the already very good backup camera to an even better package that really suits my needs. More about below. First, I want to say that I really appreciate the less-is-more design aesthetics of this solution. If you use this for a backup camera, the provided supporting bracket fits BEHIND your license plate. So all you see is just the camera itself. Most folks don't even notice it, but it gives a really great picture day or night. If you are considering this for a backup camera, you will really be pleased by the final results. So, I had an idea... My RV already has a backup camera, and my RV display will support two cameras. And I was thinking that I could modify this camera bracket (the big long one) to provide a low-front-view. A camera mounted like that could really help me to get into a narrow driveway. So, what a surprise: The manufacturer now includes a second small bracket! This smaller bracket allows me to connect it to the front of the RV, kind of hidden in the grill. Now I have the choice of using the rear camera or my new front camera. No more unnecessary curb rash on expensive hub cabs! :) All that from a company that I already trust. Extra bonus: I had this idea yesterday morning, and (since I am near a big city) Amazon was able to deliver it same-day early-delivery. I was able to install it that afternoon. Idea, product, installation, success! Just wish that EVERYTHIG was this easy, inexpensive and so good!

After some research, I stumbled upon this perfect rearview camera that boasted night vision and waterproof capabilities. Excited about the potential it held, I quickly ordered it and eagerly awaited its arrival. When the package arrived, I wasted no time in installing the camera. The process was surprisingly simple after I watched youtube, and the camera came with various mounting options, allowing me to find the perfect position for it in my car. Once installed, I connected it to my car's display system, it's also a new one. As I started the car, I couldn't wait to test out my new addition. To my delight, the rearview camera instantly came to life, giving a clear, high resolution image of the area behind my car. The wide viewing angle allowed me to see far more than I ever could through my rearview mirror alone. The first evening I used the camera, I was blown away by its night vision capabilities. The infrared LEDs bathed the surroundings in a gentle glow, revealing everything that would have otherwise remained hidden in darkness. It was like having a personal spotlight that ensured I could maneuver safely in even the dimmest of parking lots. I found myself relying on the rearview camera more and more. The wide dynamic range technology ensured that the camera adapted to different lighting conditions, never leaving me struggling to make out details in harsh sunlight or shadows. The parking guidelines feature quickly became one of my favorites. Whenever I engaged reverse gear, these on screen guidelines appeared, making it easy to gauge distances accurately. I felt like a pro as I maneuvered into even the tightest parking spaces, knowing exactly where my car was. In the end, investing in this rearview camera turned out to be one of the best decisions I made for my old car. It provided me with peace of mind but also breathed new life into my beloved vehicle.

I have bought and used three of these eRapta backup cameras over the last 4 years, and I have to say that I am very satisfied with them. All three have worked without any issues. I installed them, hooked them up to my reverse lights and car stereos, and they just worked as intended. They have worked in all driving conditions too such as heavy rain, snow, extreme heat and high winds. I also liked that they were relatively simple to install. I liked that you simply mounted them over your license plate. Connecting them to your reverse lights or car stereo can be chore though depending on the vehicle. On some cars, it's not difficult at all though. There are really only two criticisms I have about these cameras. First, the picture quality isn't the best as it's standard definition (SD) resolution. Could it be better? Of course. However, the quality has been good enough for me. I can always tell what I am looking at when I am backing up my car. The visibility at night is also surprisingly very good. So, the low resolution isn't a big deal. The second critique is that the camera calibration (exposure, contrast, saturation, color balance etc.) seems to vary quite a lot. All three of my cameras have totally different color profiles. One is very saturated, another is very dull and unsaturated, and the third has very high contrast. I don't know why this is the case other than the manufacturer doesn't have standards for camera calibration before they ship and sell them which honestly isn't surprising considering it's a cheap Chinese product. It doesn't really affect the performance of the camera, but it might indicate a lack of good quality control on the manufacturer's part. Overall though, I have been very happy with these cameras, They were relatively easy to install, work as intended, work in all weather and driving conditions, and have lasted me 4 years so far with no issues. All this at a very affordable price too. I can't complain.
