It is very sturdy. It has all the features I was looking for. A dual pulley system. It has a place to put weights to do each exercise. Has a Lat pull down bar, tricep pull down rope, and has another bar to use for the row feature. Also, to do the Lat pull downs, it includes a bar to go across your lap with foam pads. It has configurations to do all the workouts I was paying to do at the gym. I have my own free weights from 3 lb up to 25 lb and use those in my workouts. It is a great set up. I have lifted weights for six months, and was ready to have my own set up. As the instructions say, it does take time to put together. I took my time and watched tv while assembling it. It says two wrenches not included, but some thin little ones were included. I used my own anyway. I am very happy with this purchase. I looked at several for about two weeks before choosing this one. Firstly I have to say they went above and beyond with the packaging. Unlike other products on amazon where they practically just toss all the screws / nuts / bolts in a bag, this product has everything organized by steps. "here are the parts you need for step 1", "here are the parts for step 2". This along with the quality of the product makes this product deserve higher than 5 star. The machine itself is beautiful, everything fit well, and its pretty sturdy. There is some squeaking but its only noticable if I force it. While working out its great. I really love this product. Everything from the landmine attachment, to the amazing row attachment, to the pull up bar. The price is unbeatable, and I would 10/10 buy and recommend this again. ... show more

Instructions are just ok. Metalic structure is sturdy, but you need to tighten the bolts at the end. As others pointed out, there are paint scratches here and there, and the chromed guide for the weight listing has some rusty spots. Back of the rack could be taller, like the front pillars as with this height, you don’t have a lot of space for lat pull down (seated). EDIT: The company got back to me and addressed the issues to my satisfaction. I have changed the rating to 5 stars because of their efforts to make things right. There’s some minor annoyances when putting this together. The top beams have holes drilled at different distances from the end, so make sure you put them both the same way. One way will give you a little space from the edge of the pull up bar and the other way the pull up bar with be just slightly over the top rail. The holes to mount the verticals posts appear to be a little too large or the washers are too small. As you can see, the washer sinks into the hole slightly after tightening it down. The post the cable system slides up and down on has an odd way to attach it at the bottom that makes it not sit flush with the bottom and is very loose. Maybe this is on purpose, but it doesn’t seem very sturdy. Also, as stated in another review, the pulley system is too close to the rear posts so you hit your face on it when getting underneath the bar for squats. Also, the bottom beam across the back is also too close and is pretty much right where I need to plant my feet. I think there’s a version without the pulley system. I would go with that if I was going to buy this again, because the pulley system has to be disconnected for me to do squats and that’s annoying. All in all, its not terrible for the price and the metal does seem to be of a decent quality. The safety bars are solid and I was worried about the detachable dip bars being a little too flimsy for my weight (225), but they barely move with my full weight on them. ... show more

    • USE A REAL TOOL TO ASSEMBLE.

I used a small impact wrench to put this together following the advice of other reviewers and found the entire process very easy. The "wrenches" that come with the unit are terrible but a 17mm socket, an impact wrench and and 17mm wrench to hold the other end of the bolt and you are good to go. I'm very pleased with this product. It feels very sturdy and has all the features I wanted. Putting it together was not hard and took me maybe 2 hours total, including clean up. ... show more

Assembled very nicely and is a great strength training system - outstanding value. Cable systems are smooth and sturdy. Accessories are nice: Lat bar, low row bar and pedals, tri extension rope, land mine, t-bar handles, and dip handles all work well. Four plate holders easily hold all of my plates (315 lbs). Small parts (bolts, nuts, pins) are nicely organized for each step. We really like this. One small issues: I didn't realize that the shipment was split between two boxes and was very concerned when Amazon showed it as "Delivered" even though I only had one of the two boxes. The cage seems sturdy, is loaded with features and was very reasonable to assemble. I had two small issues: one of the four plastic rollers on the weight holder was damaged and the soft foam cover on one of the dip bars was torn (no doubt during shipping). Perfect for home gym. Its well built. Like another reviewer said, assemble it with real tools. I used an impact wrench. The cable system could be smoother but you can get it really close by adjusting and lubricating the rail. The only thing I wish is Er Kang offered more Storage pins for sale. It only comes with 2.
