I've lost count of how many years I've used these shears. I use them for my own haircuts, my husband, brother, mother, father, grandmother, and several friends. I think my first pair lasted about 6 years before I had to replace them, which is more than fair for the price. I will say these shears are probably the sharpest blades in my house. I accidently nipped my finger one time, and the bathroom looked like a scene from a horror film. They are ULTRA sharp. That being said, I would not recommend these for beginners, whether you're just getting started at cosmetology school, or doing haircuts at home for the first time. Get used to holding and moving beginner shears through different hair lengths and textures before reaching for these blades.

I have cut my husbands hair for over 45 years and my own for about 20 or so. A good scissors is a must. I am very pleased with the precision, firmness and yet ease in using this scissors. Time and opportunity/need have been my teachers, especially living in Africa for 14 years and needing to cut my own hair. I would highly recommend this scissors - an awesome value at an affordable price.

I just receive the scissors and immediately I’ve tried in on one of my mannequins. It needs to be sharpen prob. I’ll try it on human hair and confirm it but it’s good quality stuff. Honestly I can’t really tell the differences between my professional scissors of 17 years old the same set I got with my kit in cosmetology school - but this new scissors are like a back up plan or an extra. My other good idea lol - was to buy me a new knives scissors sharpener came together in the same order so I can sharpen them shears with no issues. I will try this new Equinox shears on human hair and update my review later. So far it looks like is going to work and last. Comfortable on my hand and fingers, it has a good weight as my other professional shears. - I need to buy a pouch cause I don’t have room for many tools in my very old falling apart pouch lol 😂 First picture done of my tools next picture comparing it with my 6” profesional PM shears can’t really tell the difference just my PM is a bit lighter that’s it. Edited 08-22-23 I have used this new scissors to cut my bangs without any issues.

These are really nice shears. They have a nice heft to them but aren't unwieldy. They're very sharp and leave my ends looking great. Not a really important factor for me, but they also look nice. No complaints from me.

These are amazing, I have really chubby fingers and these are comfortable. The blade is very sharp and allows me to give the blunt cut that I wanted to give, not to mention these actually cut your split ends!! I was hesitant because I've purchased sheers on the cheaper side before but I PROMISE these will not disappoint.

A couple of years ago, my son saw these on sale here on Amazon at what he thought was such a great deal that he called me to urge me to buy a pair. That pair has been a resident of the bathroom since then. But recently, I realize that I needed another pair to keep in my office, so I purchased the pair that I am reviewing. They are crisply sharp. If you're like me, having tried several low-end haircut scissors and not being able to find a single pair sharp enough to cut cleanly, these are worth the purchase. Almost every cheap pair of scissors is marketed as being "sharp", but these actually are. They feel like they're decent quality and look great as well. Professional scissors will run you a fortune, but these get the job done for a fraction of the cost.
