We had an Epson that lasted eight years. So much printing that the print head actually wore out. We bought an HP Deskjet to replace it. Eleven months nightmare. Trashed the new HP this morning. This XP4200 setup was easy and connecting it to my Android took under three minutes. Easy instructions. Epson stuck with a good thing and it works. Very happy with Epson as usual. Total time from box to printing was forty five minutes. That's excellent! Note: I never use off brand cartridges. A few have posted about this printer using only Epson ink or requiring a Firmware update for off brand cartridges. I never used off brand with our old Epson and for eight years it had no issues other than in the last few months of that eight years the print head was worn out. It was very similar to this one and three Masters Degrees were earned by our children and that printer was a workhorse!! ... show more

Had the printer for 46 days. Setup went smoothly. Printed about 2 times using WiFi and problems started. Moved the printer and used a USB, worked maybe twice and then had problems. On the computer it says the connection is good. On the printer it prints out, excellent. Every time attempt to print it pops up there is a connection problem. (On top of that, the stupid notice sometimes cannot even be closed to do other work.) Now need the printer for something critical. Spent 6 hours basically running the "fix" time after time. Removed the WiFi setup to only USB. Probably spent another 3 hours running the "fix" cycle that tells me it is fixed, and doesn't work. The "fix" has reloaded the software several times. Support is useless and only goes through setup, not problem fixes. Not really a support for technical problems, just endless "setups". No option to return. ... show more

Easy to Setup on my PC. Only Issue I had connecting to my Router. My Router didn't appear on the Drop Down Menu. Didn't notice the Refresh Button... All good after Refreshing.. Print Quality for Documents is Good. Graphics with Color is ok at Best. Colors isn't very bright.. Has a few light Streaks too.. Print Speed is acceptable for a single page job. ... show more

Just finished setting up and printing some documents on the XP-5200. I was worried that the set up would be difficult -- I long for the days when you could download a driver and hook up with a cable and off you go. I was pleased that the set-up, using both the front panel and the app which you must download, the process was pretty seamless. No frustrating errors or mishaps. It does take 30 minutes or so for the entire process, but the app takes you step by step through the process. A third of the set-up is just getting the printer ink charged and going through the alignment process. Print quality is excellent. That said, I am mostly printing calendars, reports, and word documents, so color alignment is not a high priority. Same size as my previous HP 2700 printer. There was nothing wrong with my HP printer EXCEPT that when I upgraded my wifi, the printer was no longer compatible. In additional the HP app was a nightmare compared to the EPSON. ... show more

I set this printer up in just a few minutes. It connected to my laptop and phone wirelessly very easily. I read a lot of reviews on this product before buying, and there were some bad ones, but I can’t imagine why. I really didn’t expect a lot, because the price was so low, and in most cases, you get what you pay for. But, I took a chance because I don’t use a printer very often and didn’t want to pay for a high end printer. I am not very tech savvy, but I was able to set it up easily. I have printed over 500 pages and have not had any problems at all. I have also printed a bunch of photos and for the money I spent on this, I was very impressed.     • Good Grief! Talk about a Cluster!!!

I wanted something simple, quick and cheep. Cheap I got, simple and quick NOT. I wanted to plug in it, turn it on and print, not fiddle with it. Took almost an hour to download and install stuff, some of which I didn't even want ... like .Net Framework. And that's just ONE computer. I have three more on the network to do. They don't even include a manual. You have to download that. Then it want you to enter the serial number as a password. Screen is very small with even smaller print and some arrow and other keys that are not backlit and difficult to see and read. I have no idea how long it will last, but they insist on using their own proprietary ink and seem to threaten to disable the machine if you use anything else. I print very little, maybe 50 pages or so a year on average. Ink tends to dry in the heads of these cheap inkjet printers and buggers the whole machine, so I may need to print a page a month just to try and offset that. ... show more
