Nice when they work. Can have issues connecting from time to time, but not often enough to replace. Background noise is nonexistent to others when you’re in meetings. Good buy especially if you work from home and have dogs that bark. Battery life is good.

Update 2025: I had decided to repurchase these, brand new, a year later and I am in love. Definitely worth the money. I compared this to the yealink ha40 and the impact 1060T is way better. I ordered a used one for extra savings but it might’ve backfired. It’s having trouble connecting via dongle/bluetooth. The active noise cancelling is not the best. However, the microphone is superb. I work from home with small children (ages 12 months and almost 3 year old) and it sounds like I’m in a quiet office setting. That being said, I can still hear my children and it’s very distracting. I will troubleshoot and fix my review if I get better results. However, if it does not connect…I will send this back. ... show more

EPOS Impact 1061T ANC: I was going to return these initially because out of the box these headphones were feeding me back my own voice in an unbelievably distracting way. My own sibilance was particularly annoying, delayed and distorted. This is how I fixed it: 1) Download the EPOS app. 2) Pair the headphones. 3) Set Sidetone to 0% for both TalkThrough and ANC. This is critical. Without this, I would have returned the headphones because even 5% was too distracting. Turn off Sidetone completely by setting it to 0%. This is a setting for both ANC and TalkThrough. Toggle between both and make sure they're both at 0. If you want to hear your own voice, select TalkThrough. This has the most natural feeling. If you don't want to hear things around you, reduce the TalkThrough level from high to medium to low to see what works best. If it's still too much background noise, turn on ANC. While your own voice is muffled, the resonance in your own head will make up for it. This is what I typically keep it on. It actually helps me focus more on the person speaking this way. Hopefully this helps anyone having this issue. I called a few friends using these and mentioned I had a new headset, they said I sound clearer than if I were just using the phone. I walked out near a busy street and they couldn't hear any outside noise. I even put my head right near a speaker playing a voice only podcast very loud just to find out if it cancels out the sound for the recipient. They couldn't hear a thing besides me. Very impressive technology. 5 stars. Side note, I got these "Open Box - Like New". The look and function as new. Saved a bunch going this way. ... show more

I'm what I consider an amateur audiophile and spend quite a bit to get the hardware and gadgets that provide the best sounds and top music. I moved to this headset from a cheaper Cisco branded headset mainly due to the poor voice rendering and the ongoing issues with the device dropping off of my available sound devices. I was completely and pleasantly surprised by this particular headset, especially the sound quality ... any sound. I then tried the ANC and was totally blown away by how completely and totally quiet everything became. A total lack of any sound at all. This was a truly new experience for me and I can readily say that this is worth every penny I paid for it.
