For the $80 I paid, I'm blown away. For a while, I've been using the Corsair HS80 to play games with on PC. Those headphones are good, but because I have arthritis in my jaw, if I wear the HS80 for too long, the pressure placed on the jaw joint eventually causes me pain, and it's even worse when I wear glasses. I put up with it for the audio quality and the wireless feature. When I first unpacked the H6Pro, they felt light. Not in a cheap way, I could tell these were built sturdy and well. When I put them on, the comfort was next level from previous experiences. I didn't clamp on my head very tightly, which gave me high hopes for longer gaming sessions. My concern was that I'd be audio quality for comfort, and I'm happy to say my concerns were unwarranted. I'm not an audiophile, but this being my first open back headset I could immediately tell the difference from my closed back HS80. While the sound itself was identical to the HS80, the depth was completely different. In games, I could more easily locate different sounds as it seemed to emulate better, whereas with closed back it sounded like a general direction. It's hard to describe, and something I feel is better experienced. Something to keep in mind, open back headphones means the sound is not isolated, so what you hear is leaking out into your surroundings, and your ears are not isolated from the outside world. This isn't an issue for my living area, but this is something to keep in mind. I also notice that because of this, I don't feel like I am having to raise my voice when talking in game chat or Discord because I can still hear myself well enough. The microphone, from what I've been told, is good but not great. My friends who I usually play with immediately noted that to me that the HS80 had a better microphone, but it isn't too big a deal. Overall, I'm very happy with this headset, and it is easily the best I've ever owned. It has brought my gaming experience to a new level, and I would recommend it to anyone. Especially at its current price of $80.

As far as gaming headsets go. These are incredible. No they aren’t audiophile but I tested them with my 58x and to my ear there is little difference. The hd58x are slightly more clear. I don’t know where the hate comes from with these. Perhaps it’s the closed variant but open are amazing. Sound: Like I said, not hd58x but so close Build: Better than my hd58x, they have a metal band and the plastic is a brushed finish instead of a cheap shiny finish like my 58x Comfort: this is what ultimately made me stick with these over an audiophile headset. The comfort is amazing. Maybe it’s because of my size head but they are amazing and it’s the best selling point for me. Little clamping force out of the box. Sooooo comfortable Aesthetics: this is obviously not as important for some but I want my headset to look good. The design is amazing and was the first thing to attract my attention. Mic quality is actually really good. I don’t need anything that is crazy as I majority play competitive games. Ultimately I chose these over my 58x. I got tired of not having a mic on my actual header. Modmic was not that great as it added even more wires. There is one wire with the H6pro. It literally offers the best balance as far as sound, aesthetics, build, comfort, convenience and all with a detachable mic that adds no clutter. WORTH. IT. All headsets and headphones are overpriced pieces of plastic so like cars you will always over pay. But these just Strike such a good balance vs the rest of the market

These sound fantastic. The microphone quality is also superb, however it's on the quiet side, and I have to use my third-party software mixer to boost the gain by about +10dB. Size: If you have a hat size bigger than 7 1/2 then you'll feel a little too much pressure on the top of your head. I also don't like that there's not a leather/pleather option for the earmuffs; the cloth gets gross, but at least it's fairly easy to remove for cleaning. That said, the plastic retaining clips for the earmuffs will wear out if you have to remove them frequently for cleaning. I usually clean them regularly while they're on the headphones.

I love this headset, bought 1 a couple of years ago but I dropped it so mic needs fixing. When trying to find a mic I learned this product is EOL and EPOS is out of the gaming market now which sucks so I bought 2 of these headsets 'just in case' but I really hope they change their minds and come back! Either them or Sennheiser, my last none Sennheiser headset was back in 2001 so not sure what I'll buy next if I run out of these headsets.

Open is very good these are probably the best for the price these are worth 100. I usually go with closed but i tried open with these fornthe first time and am happy. My partner gave me several complaints about my voice volume when i make call outs and atuff so i tried open to hear myself more and i do feel like i dont raise my voice as much. Aside from the the positional audio is excellent. the sound is also excellent. I pair these headphones with a creative sound blaster AE5 soundcard. and dont use any of the software i just have it amply the ohm impedance. If anyone thinks these headphones are quiet its cause the volume button is spun down. Or they need a dac or sound card. Although i feel like the motherboard sound should be good enough. i have had headphones in the past the come out flat and tinny through usb but when i use my sound card and aux connection, it would open up the sound really nicely. these are decently comfortable, but not the most comfortable ive had. these have a few options for aftermarket earpads so i got the option if i wanna try it. i probably should buy a second pair for the distant future. i doubt i could get something this good at this price point in like 5 years... or at least without trial and refunding a few...

I feel bad because I wrote a scathing review of the GSP 600 Closed back because they were so uncomfortable. In that review I was like, "Don't worry guys, Sennheiser isn't going anywhere and they'll fix the next headset!" Then I pretty much wrote them off and kept using my Game Ones. Well shortly afterward, Sennheiser sells their gaming headset division to EPOS. Then EPOS decides to stop making gaming products. So I never even got to give them a second chance until now when Amazon slashed the prices. This headset is awesome. The earcups fit around my ears, so there's no pressure. The cable is soft and easily straightens out. The mic is decent although I think the OG Game One still has a better mic. I'm using this with the EPOS GSX 1000 2nd Edition and the experience is phenomenal. This headset will pump the bass if you so desire while keeping the highs detailed. The sound sits a little farther from your ears than the Game One headset, but this is nice for handling explosions in FPS games. Godspeed Sennheiser and EPOS. Hopefully one day you will return to the gaming arena and we can all celebrate pro quality audio once again.

When I got these headphones I was just like the rest of you, I read all the reviews, watched all the YouTube videos. I loved the look and design of it, and everyone was talking about how good and clear the audio sounded, so naturally I wanted to get my hands on them. I ordered them and I was super excited to unbox and use them. When they finally got here and I connected them, they sounded okay at best. But it’s when I entered a video game when I really started to notice the quality. The sound was terrible. The only words I can use to describe it are “unclear” and “crunchy”. I said to myself “there must be something wrong with them, these are premium quality headphones they can’t sound this bad”, but it turned out this is just how they sound. A lot of people who are reviewing this have never had a quality pair of headphones before. I have a 140$ pair of Astro a40’s and I love them. They have great sound, comfort, looks, and mic. There are only three redeemable qualities on this headset that I can raise it to 2 stars instead of 1. First off, the surround sound was good, but it’s such a shame the audio still sucked. Second, the mic was actually good quality, but then again I much rather have better sound (plus I have a stand alone mic). Third, the mic is removable which is a cool feature which is very neat. But for 180$ headphones I expect premium quality, sound, everything. I am extremely disappointed with this. As you imagined, I returned them immediately. I definitely recommend the astro a40s. I will not be buying form the company again, for I don’t trust it at all anymore after this.

Sound quality is fantastic and has some fairly strong bass for an open back headset. I have no complaints with the mic, it's nice and clear. Since this is EPOS it uses some of the same features from the past Sennheiser headsets and that's not a bad thing. It still has the flip up mic mute feature and the volume wheel is on the side of the earcup (although I think it feels a little nicer now). One change they did make is you can pull off the mic now because it's held on by magnets, pretty cool. Sound wise compared to the PC38X it's pretty similar but the PC38X has a more open air sound, you shouldn't be surprised if you ever compared the two in pictures. I would almost call the H6Pro a "semi open" headset, for example if you put the H6Pro on your head your voice is only slightly muffled, but when wearing the PC38X you can hear yourself clear as can be. So in the sound department I would just barely give the crown to the PC38X. Comfort is pretty good, still not the best I've ever had on my head but it certainly has lighter clamping force than the PC38X. Build quality so far seems great, miles better than the PC38X it's made of more than just plastic and feels sturdier. Looks are subjective but I like the H6Pro better in this department as well, it looks more like a gamer headset while not looking overly gamer, clean and no RGB.
