This socket set looked good in the picture. I wasn’t sure of the quality for such a low price. When it arrived, I opened the case and inspected the contents- I was pleasantly surprised. The “fit and finish” was impressive and the ratchet quality seems excellent. I am a retired ASE certified master technician and I think this tool set will get the job done quite nicely.

It's a good value. I have not used them, but did go over them well and all look well finished. I did not try them on bolt heads, but expect a snug fit. They are well finished. I do notice a, or rather "feel" a lip from the chrome plating at the crest transition into the socket head. However, again, I don't anticipate an issue with fit. I expect that, what is likely .25mm will wear and not chip. If I start using them and find an issue, I will revise this. The blow mold case is medium weight, not heavy duty, but not bubble packing either, - so nice enough for someone like me who'd not going to be tossing the box, etc. The latch is a bit, not tight, can't say loose but not tight, but works smoothly. The ratchet had a weighty feel to it, "heavy" - nice. I resembles another makers wrench that likely costs double this entire set, but, that's only a guess. So, over all unless I have a fit, or chrome finish chipping issue, - I expect to have these forever, like that ones I got 40 years ago for my first job, from that major dept store that no longer exists. For a spare set to reach for and not take a walk to get, - these should do and at what I think is likely a pretty good price. I have not purchased tools in a good while, - I have all I need and take care of them, so, that's why, - I'm not a tool collector; I only what just what I need. I hope that helps. Remember, if even there is an issue, with Amazon, - then, there is no issue, they'll see to it, return or replace, so, no sweat.

After a year+ of heavy use, the ratchet mechanism stopped working. Upon investigation, I noticed one of the tiny ratchet head assembly screws exited the ratchet and was no where to be found. As such, the head became loose and the one remaining screw had loosened up, rendering the ratchet inoperable. I emailed the company requesting a replacement screw if they had one, explaining the problem and sending photos. Not only did I get a prompt response, but they sent me an entire new ratchet set that arrived within a week. This really was above and beyond. The set was past it's one year warranty period and just needed a minor part to repair. I was more than pleased and impressed by EPAuto, inarguably a company that stands by its products and listens to it's customers. Kudos! To any potential buyers, don't hesitate to get this ratchet set. My only recommendation would be to perform a little preventive action before use: remove the ratchet head screws and dab some thread locker at the very end of the threads and snug them back in. Good to go.
