  • Thanks
Exactly what I was thinking of getting and I lucky to be this glad

  • Decent for price
Color: Black Size: Mens 5/Ladies 6
Not a bad skate for the price with a few modifications - I definitely suggest swapping wheels if you don’t use these skates for derby. The wide stock wheels aren’t good for agility/lateral moves. My agility got better when I replaced with 85a hybrid wheels. The stock bearings suck. If you’re just getting back to skating, get comfortable on skates first, then upgrade to better bearings (like Rollerbones). With the stock bearings, I could not get any of the wheels to spin freely, no matter how loose or tight I adjusted the nuts. Once I upgraded bearings, my wheels spin freely now with proper tightness on nut. Smoother bearings will make your skates faster, so it’s not a bad idea to get your balance with the stock bearings before upgrading. I’m torn on whether a heeled boot skate would have been a better choice than these low heeled skates to relearn on. These make you feel like you’re going to fall over backwards if you have too much weight in heel & are standing too straight. A heeled boot puts you more on your toes. But a good tall boot skate costs about $100 more, so I’ll stick with these low tops until I wear them out. I do like how there is no break-in period for these (over a boot style skate). I’m a Womens US size 7 with a narrow foot and men’s size 5 skates fit me perfectly. Tip - bend your knees & stay low if you are new to skating or just getting back into it until your balance & strength return. And wear your helmet & protective elbow/wrist guards. ... show more

  • Love these skates... NOTE - Size runs a little big.
I used these for the first time today, and LOVE them!!! I'm trying to get back into roller skating for some much needed exercise that I can do with my youngest daughter. I wanted to go retro, like the skates I wore back in the 80's. These look and feel great!! Love, Love, Love! My only issue is the sizing. (not really an issue, but just to make you aware) Any shoe I have ever bought (US sizing) Women's sizes are two less than a man's size. Example: A Men's size 6 = Women's size 8. On these however they say a Men's 8 is = to a Women's 9. I can tell you these are definitely not a Women's 8. I generally wear a Women's 8 1/2 to a 9 depending on the shoe. So with all that said, these feel a bit too big, but a size smaller would be too small. With thick socks, and / or thin ankle supports, these fit great, and I still have just a little room in the toe. (I hate cramped toes!) Highly Recommend. ... show more

  • Very cheaply made and uncomfortable
Color: Teal Size: Mens 11
Bought these for my boyfriend. The skates are very cheaply made and uncomfortable. The boot is too stiff and feels like stiff cardboard. It's thin, stiff, and hard, so it doesn't flex -- it crimps or buckles at flex points. The second time he wore them (indoor only), the boot started developing and rigid "V" on top of the foot that put painful pressure into the boney parts of the top of foot. Another reviewer shared photos that had the same exact issue. There is virtually no padding anywhere, not even in the sole. The truck is plastic and flexes downward significantly when a 255 lb man puts pressure to push off. I've adjusted the skate (wheels and trucks, loosened/tightened the shoe strings in a variety of ways). The issue is with the skate itself and is the overall stiffness of the boot. (See photos of the buckling.) Also, the wheels are extremely grippy. The hard wheels combined with the deep ridges on the wheels causes the skates to corner very stiffly -- but there is a significant side to side flex. He had only worn the skates 4 times, and only indoors. The side to side flex (like if you hold your foot down on the ground and lean your weight left to right) is so significant that, even with the truck bolts tightened all of the way, the wheels are already grinding wear spots into the plastic on the bottom of the plastic plate under the boot on both feet above both sides of the front wheels. It is also grinding the wheels where they make contact. (See photos.) Sizing: The skates we received are not oversized like other reviewers stated. In my experience, most skates are about half a size or one full size smaller than shoe size, which is consistent with most of the reviews on here, but it was not the case in the skates we received. He swears size 10 shoes and I bought size 11 skates. They are too narrow for a men's size 10 foot and even with the laces completely out, the skates are too narrow around the ball of the foot, just before the toe area. (Not enough room for the height of his foot.) Overall the look, feel, and quality are more like that of cheap skates you can buy at Walmart for $35, and does not match the reputation of Pacer standards and expectations. I do not recommend these skates at all. Perhaps they might work better for a light weight child, but not a grown man. ... show more

  • For Women, order a size down. These skates run large!
Color: White Size: Mens 8/Ladies 9
I ordered the size Mens 8/Women's 9 because I wear a solid 9 in Women's shoes: 8.5 is too short and a 9.5 is too large. When I received these skates, the were obviously much larger. They are labeled a Men's 8, but even in that I have about 2 inches of extra room. I could have easily worn a Men's 7. My feet are on the narrow side, and I think the width of the skate would have been great. That being said, I never wore the skates except to try on one to verify it was too large to be safe. I gave the skates 4 stars because they look quality, shipped quickly, came with an extra set of rainbow laces. The wheels and bearings looked great and spun well. I just cannot say if I would have enjoyed the skate or how the shoe part would have fit/preformed with use. I would order these again if my size were available. ... show more
