Good beginner skates
I got these skates for my son who is still learning but needed his own skates and not the rink rental skates anymore. They are affordable, considering he will outgrow them in a year or two. I was told to order a size up to give some room to grow and they fit well. They do scuff very easily in the toe area and that is why I took off a star. He seems to like them after using them at the rink for the first time. They are very popular skates, especially for beginners and children. I would recommend them for beginners. **Update** My son likes these skates. However, the toe area has scuffed badly after only two times at the skating rink. Even though they have room for him to grow, I am not sure the boot will last that long. I may have to order toe scuff protectors if they even have those for these skates.

Awesome skates
I am 36 & have always loved skating. I got these to skate on the sidewalk while walking my dog and when I take my son skating. They work great indoors & outdoors. I love these skates! They look good & are comfortable. I wear a women’s shoe size 8.5 & I got a size 7 in these skates. At first I thought they were too big but once I skated in them a few times, they actually fit perfect!

Affordable but not as expected
Reading reviews is very confusing for a revisiting skater. As someone who hasn’t worn quads since the late 80s, I had no idea what size to get. Almost every single review says to size down. DON’T! If I would’ve ordered true to size, these would’ve been absolutely perfect. Returned my original order to get replacements in my true size. One disappointing thing was that when I went to change the wheels for outdoor use, I found out one of the bolts was stripped. I’m not sure what I’m going to do if I can’t get the wheel off. If you’re planning to use as-is, they’ll be fine. BUT if you plan to use the skates for a long time, and/or want to customize, you might run into some issues swapping parts. Overall, I am enjoying the skates but I don’t think I’ll be using them exclusively in the future. If you’re like me and revisiting a childhood pastime or if you’re an adult skating for the first time and you’re not sure if you’re going to stick with it, the affordability makes this a great beginner option. Just expect to invest more in either new skates altogether or replacement parts if you fall (back) in love with skating!
