I was nervous to order Amazon Renewed, but was not disappointed in my purchase. To me, everything looks brand new. There are no scratches, dents or dings anywhere on the product or on the box. It works properly and came with all of the standard issue items: canon strap, battery and battery charger, usb c cable, and lens hood. I haven’t looked into registering it with Canon, but will update once I am able. Some people have mentioned that these Renewed cameras are “grey market” (meaning they’re usually sold in China or Japan, making you unable to register and obtain a warranty with Canon USA). I think mine is a normal Canon USA product. Mine was shipped via FedEx, but delivery was super fast and simple. I did have to sign for it. Highly recommend!!! ... show more

    • Beware of Gray Market products.

Be aware that this is likely a gray market body (though some may be renewed U.S. models). As such, these cannot be registered with Canon, and they cannot be serviced or repaired by a Canon USA Service Center, no matter what. Gray market units are intended for sale outside of the USA. Though it is clear that these units are not backed by CanonUSA warranties, they are backed by warranties from the seller for 90 days. Units manufactured for sale in the US can be registered with Canon, and buyers can purchase Canon CarePak policies to cover maintenance and repairs for the duration of the CarePak. The body I received was not eligible for this program. Be aware that should you make this purchase, and something happens to the camera, you will only be able to have it serviced or repaired by a third-party servicing center. Spend the extra $400 and buy a product intended for sale in the US. In my opinion, it's not worth the risk. I will say that the camera looked brand new out of the box. There wasn't a mark or blemish on it anywhere that I could tell. I never put the camera through its paces to ensure perfect functionality, due to returning it when I found out about the inability to register this lens. I have no reason to believe anything was wrong with the product, and I believe that it would have worked flawlessly. If you are looking for this camera at a discount over a brand-new body, as long as you are willing to be responsible for any problems that arise in the future and know that Canon USA will not service it, this is a decent deal. The Camera was in excellent condition, and works perfectly. I'm very happy with it. The issue is that this is a grey market import, meaning it cannot be repaired by Canon USA, and there is no warranty. Nowhere on Amazon Renewed or the product description does it warn that they sell grey market items. Some would call not identifying such as scam-level selling. Even Abe's of Maine (which is a well-known and scammy grey-market seller) at least identifies that they sell imports. Shame on Amazon for not making this clear. ... show more
