CNC Aluminum Camera Cage is specifically designed for Canon EOS 90D/ 80D/ 70D mirrorless camera. It is a full cage which is lightweight and perfectly form- fitting the camera. It is equipped with a large number of 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded holes, ARRl 3/8"-16 locating hole, Nato rail and cold shoe for accessories mounting. Features: 1. It is made of aeronautical aluminum and CNC precision machining. It is robust and durable, light and easy to use; 2. Lightweight cavity design, with Nato rail, ARRl 3/8"-16 locating hole & 1/4"-20 thread mounting holes on the top, fit for multiple top handles, such as Nato top handle, ARRl type top handle and 1/4"-20 thread mount top handle. And bulit-in a cold shoe mount for microphone, LED lights or the monitor bracket mounting. Compatible with ARRl 3/8"-16 Standard on the side for attaching the side handle for handheld shooting. 3. The bottom of the cage has anti-slip pads and anti-deflection design to protect the camera from scratching and movement. This camera cage fits very well a Canon 70D, and the finish blends-in like a genuine part of the camera. Rigid and lightweight, very good quality. There are more threaded holes on this frame that I could ever use, but it’s great to have the option of attaching at the most convenient location around the camera any accessory. The Arca-Swiss bottom plate is really convenient: once this cage is mounted on the camera there is no need for further mingling to attach to a tripod. The two cold shoe mounts at the top come handy, but one is at an angle, so whatever accessory uses it must either not care about the orientation or should be able to rotate. The cage balances well with the camera and it does not obstruct access to any of the camera and lens controls. The one area that becomes a bit cumbersome to access is the top-right: the wheel is accessible under the cage frame, so I cannot completely flex my finger on rotating it. And the buttons on top are a bit cumbersome to access through the opening beneath the cage, and accessing via the top means moving the whole hand – not the way I usually reach for these. I guess it takes a bit of getting-used-to. There are no printed instructions coming with this. Two Allen wrenches are provided: one for the bottom screw that attaches the cage to the camera and a smaller one that fits all screws that attach together the parts of the cage itself. I am not sure whether the provided smaller wrench is meant for configuring this cage with only part of the segments, or just for good measure in case there is a need to disassemble the cage. One of the product pictures shows a top handle that is not included with this cage. No other examples of usage are shown, with any other attached accessories, and there is no explanation or disclaimer to the picture. So, this is a bit confusing, like there was a handle meant to be included with the cage. ... show more

    • A simple protective design that does what it should
This EOS Canon camera cage is a simple design and like all DSLR cages this one is made of alloy. The design will actually accommodate just about any EOS Canon model you just might not have access to the battery compartment. It fit a Canon SL3 as well as a Canon 5D Mark ll. If you're looking for sort of a universal cage or you're one to buy a new the latest annual camera release but don't want to by a new cage each and every time this might be for you! ... show more
