The best thing about this tool set is that it comes in a nice case and you’ll have all of your basic tools handy when you need them. The tools them selves are sufficient. They will do basic household jobs well, but I would not use them for fixing a car for example, because they’re just not that sturdy or precisely engineered. However, be aware that the ratcheting wrench set is metric, and so it won’t work on a lot of common US nuts, and bolts. Also, even more than the rest of the set, the ratchet is pretty small, and I doubt if you can put too much torque on it. It is the one item in the set that I would call substandard.. Finally, it’s not really a problem, but I find it a bit silly when they stick in things like a small roll of electrical tape in a set like this. It always feels like a bit of a waste of space because there are 10 different types of tape and they are not interchangeable. So, it’s not like that’s a universal tool such a screwdriver. All in all, if you want a handy tool set that will do many of your household jobs, this will fit the bill. ... show more

If you're the type of person who occasionally needs a hammer, or a screwdriver, this kit would probably work for you. If you do your own home improvements, this kit really wouldn't be for you. You get the basic tools, screwdrivers, scissors, hammer just will wrench, some screwdriver bits, some sockets, 5 mm to 13 mm, a tape measure. The screwdrivers work okay, the scissors are okay, the hammer, is very small. Everything has its place in the case, and it comes with a case which is always a plus. Seriously, these are great if you just need a good set for things around the house. The ratchet handle is the cutest little ratchet I have ever seen. It barely fits in my hand. It works for simple things, though. All of the tools are decent quality, but I wouldn't expect to use them if you are a daily user of hand tools, like a mechanic or in a fab shop. If it's just home stuff, these are great and I love having them organized in one spot. The case is perfect for that (obviously, but the tools have to get PUT BACK IN IT for the case to do its job... {eye roll, as I look at everyone within range of sight...} ). For a college student, or new apartment dweller this is a decent basic set. The biggest draw back for the U.S. market is that the set doe snot include any SAE sockets or hex wrenches. Reasonably priced and decent quality but limited by the lack of SAE items.

As the wife of a true tool-guy, I have every tool I could possibly ever need around the house. My problem arises when it's time to actually FIND the tool I need. He does most of the real repair stuff, but I occasionally need a screwdriver, hammer, razor knife, pliers, etc., and finding those things in his shop (which he calls his piling system), is impossible. He knows where everything is located...I don't. The 2nd issue is that those tools then remain in the house as a living-room or kitchen decoration for days before returning to their proper spot in his shop pile. This is where this tool set comes in. I now have everything I can possibly need, in a neat kit that I can keep in my laundry room cabinet (don't you dare tell him where it is, or that I even own it!). These are not your professional, use them every day, kind of tools, but for my purposes, they don't need to be. They are good-enough quality for light use and fit my need perfectly. I'm actually considering buying another 2 sets to keep in our vehicles. Now, I'm just waiting to see how long it takes for him to find the tape measure and feed it to the black hole tape-measure-eating monster that obviously hides on our property. ... show more

if you are looking for an all-in-one set of the most commonly used manual tools for a reasonable price, then this is a great option to consider. Other sets like this that I've tested often omit important items like tape measure, electrical tape, or scissors. This set has those items plus a bit more, all well organized in the included case with molded snap in slots for each item. Be aware that the 90 pieces count that is advertised includes each of the tiny bits, adapters, holders, and fasteners. Really you are getting about 20 key items. ... show more

It's always a good thing when you have an accessible rolodex of tools readily available for any task that you have to perform around the house rather indoors or out. I used this set to help in mounting outdoor solar lights, repairing one of my a/c units, mounting a worklight, in addition to a myriad of other long put off tasks that I needed to address.
