Works great, perfect tap. Make sure you drill a pilot hole of the correct size. I thought these would do the whole thing for me but they had absolutely no purchase on the aluminum bar I was working with. With a pilot hole though, it worked amazing and the screw fit very well.

These have been great for tapping 3d printed parts and cleaning out already tapped holes. They work well in a drill motor, but they might not work great as hand taps. At this price point they really can't be beat.

I know that they were not advertised as such, but I thought that these would drill and tap all at once; they do not. You have to pre-drill your holes before you tap them. Regardless, I bought these for building rc cars and the test holes that I put threads in fit the fasteners perfectly, and the taps are very efficient as far as clearing away cut material. ... show more

    • Did not even work on first use
Tried using these to tap new threads into my valve cover, but was quickly disappointed. It produced unusable threads, which ended up just stripping entirely if I tried to drill any further. The threads on the bits itself quickly sheared off, making the entire bit useless.

I wanted some spiral flute metric taps for blind holes. They’re hard to find and when you do they cost a fortune. Like M6 from OSG IS ABOUT $38 bucks for one tap. But when I found this set it covered the range I mostly need. My first hole was a M6 x 1.0mm hole in low carbon 12L14. To my surprise it worked perfectly. I can’t say they’re the best looking grinds on the flutes, but it worked for 6 holes I needed to tap. Very pleased. I bought a second set just to have a back up. I would recommend getting them for occasional holes, maybe not for production though. ... show more
