I tried the follower tool many different ways and watched videos, but it did not work. All the other tools that I used worked perfectly and my truck is running better than every with a new oil pump and new cam phasers.

Cam holding tool, lock out wedges, cam and crank bolts are worth the buy. The crank alignment tool needed the paint sanded off to allow it to fit onto crankshaft. I didn’t have to use rocker arm tool.

The camshaft positioning tool would not go on at first. Had to sand down some of the powder coat and the it went on. The valve spring tool did not work could not get it to thread on. Ordered the OEM and that work great. Everything else worked as it should

Buy quality tools. Is it worth buying junk to save a few dollars and then wasting hours trying to make it work. Even if you only plan to use it once, How much is your time worth. I wasted hours trying to use the parts in this kit. Being a machinist, I have the bad habit of trying to fix everything that does not function properly. I had to file the crank position lock tool to get it on, the Phazer position lock tool worked only by wedging the end against the teeth. It would not seat into them. The valve compressing tool is a joke. There are no instructions and the scan image enclosed brings up a dead link. Eventually, you will discover that the tool will work somewhat IF you remove the round tip on the shaft. Then there isn't enough space between the frames to get a roller follower into position which is the tool's ONLY job. This kit is going back. ... show more

All worked well with the exception of the valve spring compressor. I did all 25 valves with I but it required me to bend the tool for a couple of the valves. You will need to straightened the price that touches the spring a few times to get through them all. I probably should have bought the OTC compression tool and this set to complete the timing job. The valve Spring compression tool could be of better quality And fit a little better. As an experienced mechanic I don't use it but someone without a lot of experience could cause major damage to the engine they're working on. I loaned it to a friend And he ended up breaking the end of the valve stem Because that valve Spring compressor tool does not fit properly on the 5.4L. ... show more
