This flashlight provides a bunch of light. Has many features that I do not use but maybe they will come in handy some day. - press the power button once for high power flashlight mode, - press it a second time and you get low power flashlight mode - press it a third time and get rapid flash mode - it also has the ability to hold the power button down and it will dim. This is what I dislike about it. As the batteries get weaker, the amount of light (lumens) drops. I wish it was more energy efficient. It uses 6 AA batteries. So keep a ready supply of batteries. The good news, it continues to work just not as bright. If you use it a bunch you will only notice after a while that it is not as bright as it was when you first used it.

Bought this for herping and camping. I was worried about it being dimmer than what it says, but I was pleasantly surprised! I took it on a trip this past week, and all 3 guys that came with me on the snake hunt were wowed. Everyone kept asking where I got it, and mentioning how bright it was. Durability wise, I drop everything.. so.. it definitely took a slight drop or two and survived lol. It was also raining most of the time, humid the rest, but it gave me zero grief. Now, I did use alkaline batteries at first and it seemed fine. Later I swapped out the deadies for some fresh lithium batteries, and every other time it would get pretty warm. Not sure if I was supposed to do that lol. Not everything can handle lithiums. It turns on relatively easily, so beware how you pack it. It turned on in my backpack and got pretty toasty in there lol. Thankfully I noticed and all was well. Still worked like a charm though! I’d like to buy a few more for hurricane season. Brighter than the stuff on store shelves for sure (trust me, I own a bajillion lights lol).

I have several really bright flashlights but they are all either 123A or 18650. I wanted a flashlight that was really bright AND used AA rechargeables, Eneloop Pro specifically, for sustainability. Surefire doesn’t make one. Streamlight doesn’t make one. Olight, Nite Core doesn’t make one. My research brought me to Energizer to my surprise. I was hesitant to buy what I consider a “cheap” flashlight but have been happy so far. Very bright... lots of flood, not a great/focused spot. Definitely lights up the entire yard or area in front of you, would not be great for illuminating objects 200 yards out. Great for what I want. High, low and a slow strobe. Quality is not bad and has been working great so far. Have not done water test yet so not sure on how weatherproof. Bought three just in case one breaks, they are inexpensive enough. Definitely recommend for a really bright AA powered general purpose flashlight.

Perfect use for AA batteries, they are cheap and abundant. The led isn't as harsh as others I've experienced, it is a bit warmer and less sharp on the beam edges. This is my go to for hiking at night, since it isn't heavy, and doesn't hurt my eyes going from the flashlight to darkness. I have had several of these for a few years now, and plan to buy more for around the house and emergency kits. True, there are brighter ones, more "tactical", etc. But in my experience, this is easily bright enough for most every situation, is very comfortable to hold, it feels almost like a work of art; there was immense care and design put into it, and it shows. Trust me, this is one of, if not the best all around flashlight.

I bought the 1300 lumen light last year and liked it so much that I bought this one; the1500 is definitely brighter. II have a VERY spoiled dog who likes to walk the fence line at night to make sure the perimeter is clear. She freaked out one night when we had a possum. So now we have to walk the fence every night to make sure that there are no critters in the back yard and this flashlight is used. It gets used in light sprinkles but I've never dropped it in a bucket of water or ran over it so I can't say how sturdy it is.
