Just installed these today in my 5 bulb kitchen hanging chandelier fixture (standard-size torch shape, so since the lighted ends of these seem to be very wide I was very worried they wouldn't fit..but they fit PERFECTLY!) and couldn't be happier! They are bright, and dim very well. Can adjust to any specific brightness without flickering! I had an extra bulb, so decided to install in laundry room where I have another dimming circuit. The bulb currently there does not dim, so once I put this new one it, it was just very low, flickering, and then doesn't dim at all! I tested the bulbs in laundry (that I replaced in kitchen), and there is no dimming. So I believe the low light, flickering, and non-dimming was definitely due to a faulty dimming circuit. Why do I mention this? Because before I bought these, I noticed some negative reviews mentioning the exact same thing. I believe it is due to a faulty circuit or incompatibility with certain circuits. ... show more

I needed a replacement bulb for one that had burned out, so I gave these a chance. The cost was great and they fit perfectly into the fixtures (exactly like the standard bulb), but didn't generate a ton of heat like the old ones. The light is VERY bright and VERY white. There is no warmth to it, at all, but I kind of like that in the overhead lights in my kitchen. I don't think that I'd like this as much in any other room. Very good value. ... show more

    • Bright, dimmed just fine, one failed within a week.

The bulbs are certainly as bright or brighter than the old incandescent bulbs they replaced, they also worked flawlessly with the old knob style dimmer switch powering them. That bring said, one of the bulbs started occasionally flashing and then would sometimes be found to be off, turning the lights off and then back on would usually fix it or even knocking on the bulb. I wanted to be sure it was the bulb and not the socket so I swapped two of the bulbs and the problem followed the bulb. I replaced the bad bulb and haven't had any issues since. The problem with bulbs failing is that with only one acting up the hassle of complaining simply isn't worth the potential reward (I don't have any interest in sitting on the phone back and forth just to have a single replacement bulb sent to me). This means I have try to buy reliable bulbs in the first place. I'm sure the company would have replaced the bulb if I called or emailed them and I'm providing this rating under that assumption. ... show more

Confirming that these are in fact dimmable. I had more expensive bulbs from a local store that were not dimmable, and they were causing my dimmer switch to hiss, even when it was at full brightness. Since changing to these bulbs this hissing has gone away. I should have switched these out years ago! Price is great. Even if these only last half as long as bulbs from the local store I would be happy. This 6 pack was cheaper than a 2 pack of comparable bulbs from the local store. ... show more
