In both cases, the lighting made a huge difference in being able to see clearly without glare or shadows. The fact that the lights are dimmable means you can fine-tune brightness depending on the situation. The semi-rigid 16.4ft cable is another strong point. It’s flexible enough to snake around corners, yet stiff enough to push where you need it to go without collapsing on itself. I found it especially useful when threading it behind pipes and into wall cavities where visibility is otherwise zero. The waterproof lens (IP67 rated) gave me peace of mind when I dipped it into a wet area under the sink. It handled it with no problem, and the camera stayed clear. This Ilihome inspection camera is easy to use, just charge it, plug in the camera cable and you are ready to start exploring anywhere that can fit it's 8mm camera head. The camera and cable being a little over 16 feet long gives more than adequate reach for just about any situation you might encounter. The cable has a bit of memory to it, but can be bent into shapes relatively easily. The connection is very secure, taking a little effort to plug in, so you won't have to worry about it becoming detached in use. The display screen is very clear without any dead spots, pretty nice for its prince point. The camera image is relatively clear across the entire viewing area at distances 2" or more from objects. I2" to 3" from an object is it's sweet spot. minimum distance to get a clear image was about 1.25 inches. There is a zoom if you need to back away a little and enlarge. It shows 2x on the screen, but it not a true 2x. I'd estimate it maybe enlarges the image by 25%. Between 1.25" to just under 2" from objects, the center of the image is not quite as clear as the edges. The bottom of the image seems to be sharper. Holding the camera head perpendicular to the card in the picture, I could see the image was not square. The camera lens is canted in the body, not in line with it explaining why the one edge may be clearer depending on distance. It can be angled to compensate and get a "head on" view. More something to be aware of, it should not pose any issues in use. My only complaint was the brightness button would not always respond to being pushed. I had to click it several times. The other buttons don't seem to have that issue. They take deliberate pressure and are a little heavy. Overall, this is a good camera for its price point and works well making it a pretty reasonable value. It would be nice to be able to save images, but the other offerings that have it are more expensive, so it's priced right for not having that feature.

The 1080P HD quality is impressive! Everything looks sharp and clear, which is super helpful for detailed inspections. The 8 adjustable LEDs are a game changer, providing just the right amount of light even in darker spaces. The 16.4ft semi-rigid cable is really flexible, allowing me to maneuver it into tight spots without any hassle. Plus, the 8mm waterproof lens is a nice feature. This little thing has the same camera quality, longer camera reach, and a bigger screen than my $90 scope. Wish it had a locking camera port, but it's an amazing deal for the price.
