The image is really crisp for the price and of course it has the built in screen so youre not messing around with the camera/cable plus your phone. I cannot compare it to more expensive brands/models but for an average Joe this is as much as I would need and for the price you get a lot of bang for your buck. The cable can also hold its shape, IE you can bend it at a right angle and it will hold that shape. Some models on here seem to have a floppy cable but this doesn't.     • Great little tool for inaccessible places
This is a great tool for using to see inside confined spaces. I purchased this Endoscope Camera with Light to see into a cement block basement wall to determine what type connection a frost free hydrant/hose bib had to pipes in house. I had to use a 3/8" masonry bit to drill a hole adjacent to the hydrant and then fed the endoscope into it and see the connection. I wasn't sure whether the hydrant was sweated into a T fitting or if it screwed into a female connector. I wanted to at least find out what type connector it had before tearing up the stucco and enlarging the hole where the hydrant fed through the cement blocks. I could then drill a hole next to the fitting in the interior wallboard to locate where the connection was without cutting holes in the wallboard haphazardly. Now, the plumber who will be doing the work will know exactly what type hydrant to install without my having to pay him extra for the time it would take him to do the work, and what type hydrant to bring with him. Also, as an added plus, being a household that has cats, it's a great little tool to peer under cabinets, refrigerator, stove, etc., to find lost cat toys! It's also handy to use to retrieve sockets and nuts and bolts that I've dropped into the car engine compartment; the magnet attachment is great! This is a great addition to my tool cabinet, the price was really great as I didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars on a like item from a big box store.     • Works great after a couple months of use
I'm a professional mechanic and needed a boroscope for my home garage, so I picked up this one as it was well reviewed and reasonably priced. Build quality is quite good, the screen is bright, and the camera quality is clear. I've used it for several projects without issue now. The only thing I'd note is that it's mildly inconvenient to have to remove the cable every time you put it back in the case, and my suggestion would be to mold the foam in such a way that it could be put back without disassembly. This camera worked great even in my fuel tank. I wanted to know if my fuel gauge was reading right on my older diesel pusher motorhome and sure enough I found that my gauge was off by about an eighth of a tank. So I give it a thumbs up.

This thing works great. I used it to look at the cylinders in my neighbors stock car motor to gauge its condition after he overheated it. It allowed a good look at the minor damage caused.
