This camera is fine for the DIY or hobbyist. The camera quality isn’t the greatest and the led light are adjustable but not very bright. Good purchase though. I would recommend. Just don’t put it in your butt….

I purchased this Endoscope to use for looking at internal working parts in automobiles and muzzle loading firearms. I know there are places that need to be viewed to ensure they are in place properly to work. I could not believe the excellent clarity done by this unit. The lens with the 8 tiny but bright LEDS surrounding the camera lens will fit into places as small as 1/3 inch wide. The LEDS' brightness can be controlled by a thumb switch. The camera is installed on a long cable, I think I read 16 feet, and the cable is stiff enough to work the camera upwards as well as downwards. I've used some units like this that had overly flexible cable and would fold upon itself if you tried to use it against the force of gravity. You can take photographs as you wish and store them on your phone. BTW-you need a smartphone to use this Endoscope - that's where you can see what the camera is showing and also where your photographs taken by the Endoscope are stored. These photos can be segregated into separate albums using the same app that needs to be downloaded that works with this amazing scope/camera. Wish I had found and purchased this sooner. It makes things just so much easier and more certain.

I bought this to snoop around the various cavities and holes that are present in an old house. I'm having trouble with a critter and wanted to do some detective work. The probe is "bendy". You can twist it into the right shape to feed where you need it to be and it mostly holds shape. This thing is looong: if you're going against gravity the length of the probe won't be the limiting factor for how far you can go. I haven't tried snaking a drain or anything, but beyond that I can't imagine using the full length for anything. Keep in mind the LED lights they fit into the tiny end of this thing can only do so much. If you're spying on a dark place (and let's face it, where else would you put it) visibility is only going to be a couple feet in most situations. Overall I'm shocked at his good of a camera you can get at this price point in this day and age.

For the money does the job, problems arise when you use an iphone and had to install an accessory, if it moves a bit you lose conection and recording.

This is an exceptional scope . I’ve used it to locate studs in the walls of my daughters kitchen while hanging new cabinets. I couldn’t have done it without the help of this scope. I would and have recommended this Borescope inspection camera to all my friends that do DYI projects.

Bought this camera to attempt to find a pool pipe leak. The camera was easy to use with my IPhone and picture quality was good. While finding the leak was unsuccessful because the camera could not be directed around 90 degree turns easily, I still believe this to be a good camera in other capacities. I like the camera and will keep the product for other uses.

For the price it's excellent. The app is very easy to install and use. The probe is flexible but will stay in to any contorted position you put it in. Cleaning it is a cinch, and thankfully it doesn't get very dirty, even in the nastiest environments. The light is ok but could be bigger / brighter. The main issue is the camera picture quality. It's about what you'd get on a cell phone from 10+ years ago. If you need a crisp, detailed image of whatever you're examining, you just aren't going to get it. For my purposes that level of quality is fine, and I've already used the endoscope to investigate a pipe, an inaccessible attic space, and some vents without any issues.
