  • Pretty Nice Speakers, Less Clutter, + Some Hopefully Useful Info!
While setting up a new stand for my TV, I decided that I had way too many cables and that I needed to replace my Frankenstein system that I had: A Sony digital receiver using my old Samsung HTPC 5.2 speakers (I bought another sub-woofer!), and a gadget to wirelessly transmit the sound to the rear speakers behind my couch, where I had another gadget to power the rear speakers. So many wires and mess! I've always wanted to experience THX and own a THX system, and I've been waiting for someone to come up with an all wireless simple system, so I decided to spend the extra $ and spring for the CineHome Pro model, and I'm glad I did! Note that if you order this item, you will need to have someone sign for it, since it is so expensive, so just something to remember, but in this day and age, hopefully you are staying at home safe anyways! The item which was suppose to arrive on a following Monday, but actually arrived earlier than expected at around 5 or 6 pm on a Friday! When I got the box, the outside box had some pretty good scuffs on it, and I was a little bit concerned, but when I went to unbox it, I found that there was another inner box, which was in perfect condition, and then when I opened that box, there was another box inside of that one! So basically, there was 3 layers of boxes protecting the contents! they didn't cheap out on the packing. I can't remember the last time I seen 3 layers of packing. And of course, the contents were in perfect condition! There was even a set of white gloves so you can set up the speakers without getting fingerprints on them. Now I know how the rich people feel, but I bet they just hire someone to set up their systems! So I went to setup each speaker in their proper location, and the instructions said to turn on each speaker and the LED light should start flashing and then plug in the hub last, but when I plugged in the hub, the front LED wouldn't light up. I decided to install the app to see if it could see the system, but it couldn't find anything! It was about 7pm on a Friday night, and I had already taken down my old speaker system, and was afraid I was going to be down the whole weekend without surround sound, but I decided to call their support number, not really sure if anyone would even be available to answer. It rang, but the message said that the support hours was over, and to leave a message, but I didn't bother, since I figured it would be Monday before anyone would call back, and maybe by then I might figure out something on my own via Google, etc. so I just hung up. I was doing some searching on their website for videos when I got a call back, and it was someone from the company! This is what he had me do, so if you get your system on the weekend or after hours, hopefully this will help!: He asked me if all the speakers had flashing lights on them, which I said they did, which he said was good. He then had me unplug the hub and plug it back in, but still no light. I did it a couple of times, and still no light on the hub, but then after a few seconds, the hub started to flash! He said that it was gathering information about the other speakers, and had me wait until the LED on the hub stopped (they might have flashed for about a half a minute or so?), which after the LED light on the hub stopped, it actually went off. He then had me do a scan on the app, which it did find the Enclave system now, and then he had me press the POWER button in the app, and then the front LED on the hub came back on again. From there in the app, you could see each speaker, and if you tap each one, it will turn green and play static so that you can adjust the volume, etc. He then got me pointed in the right direction with connecting the speakers to the TV, and gave me the following info and tips. He said that the ARC HDMI port is usually on HDMI 2 for LG TV's, which if you connect your Enclave to your TV via the at least 9' HDMI cable), when you turn on the TV, it will also automatically turn on these speakers, and when you adjust the volume on your TV remote, it actually adjusts the volume on the speakers. No more needing another remote and/or AV receiver to adjust the volume! I asked him about using the optical cable or the Bluetooth to connect to the TV so that I could free up HDMI2 to connect other things, which he recommended not doing, because if you use the optical cable, you will have to use the app to adjust the volume, and if you use Bluetooth, you will only get stereo, not 5.1. The final tip he gave me was on configuring the THX, which he suggested measuring the distance to each speaker from wherever you are seated, and entering that info into the app to correctly configure that, which I still haven't gotten around to doing yet, so I can't really comment too much on that, but they are sounding pretty good so far just the way they are now! So in conclusion, these speakers are very well packaged, their support goes above and beyond by calling me back even though I called late on a Friday (the guy said he just happened to be working late and was about to go home when he saw that someone called and so he took the time to call back)! Also, if he hadn't called back, my weekend would have been ruined (1st world problem, I know), and I would have assumed that the hub was faulty because I couldn't get the LED to light up on the hub, and would have to go through all the trouble of boxing it back up, etc. One final note/tip, you might want to have the system connected to a UPS so that if you have a power outage, you don't have to go through the process of unplugging and plugging in the hub to rebuild the speaker inventory list, etc. Oh, and one more note, two of the power chords actually have a right angle bend, which I used those chords for the rear speakers so that I could mount them horizontally on my reused Atlantic adjustable speaker stands (PN77305018). Hopefully this info will help someone either with their pre or post purchase! 6 MONTH UPDATE! Well, I've had these speakers for 6 months now, and I still love them! As a matter of fact, I'm thinking of getting the CineHome II set for a guess bedroom. One thing to note, we had a huge power outage here in Texas, which when the power came back, the hub wouldn't turn on when I turned on the TV, so I tried unplugging and plugging the power to the hub, but I couldn't get it to flash the lights like before. I kept trying and trying, but it wouldn't gather the info of the other speakers. I finally tried inserting the cable at an angle, and it finally flashed and read the info from the speakers. I think there might be a physical connection problem with the power jack for it to get power or something, which you just have to be persistent with plugging and unplugging the power into the hub. ... show more

  • The best. Stop looking and get it.
Easy to set up. Had a bad sub shipped with the other speakers. I called customer service and they shipped a replacement that day. Super easy return/swap. The app needs some work, but you can dial in your sound. The bass will not dust your shelves, but is adequate. I use it for music as well as movies. It shines on blue ray disks. streaming service sound, you are at the mercy of their compressed crap, but clarity is amazing. Put in Pink Floyd or Phil Collins in the air tonight. It will raise the hair in your arms. When you get the hang of the controls it is very easy to tweak what you need. You will not “overpower” these speakers and even when trying to blow out my own ear drums the sound quality is super clear. I haven’t felt this good about sound since selling my Klipsch Chorus II’s when my wife won the speakers are not furniture war. The speakers are not tiny, but will fade into the background when your brain gets used to having them in the room. No wiring except power, no sound lag. Love, love love… ... show more

  • Correction, they're junk. Dont buy. Buy the speakers. They're Fantastic - Hands Down
Im leaving my old review at the bottom. These speakers started out good, then constantly disconnect, poor sound quality, muffled voices, then, finally, complete disconnection. ZERO SOUND. These speakers will drive you mad. Frustration. Daily trying to get them to work. Then finally, for no reason, total death. Also, I asked for replacement speakers, since mine were damaged ok arrival. They promised they would, but never did. The grill cam be damaged with the slightest pressure. They're all dented now. This system is an embarrassment. It is maddening. Don't buy Enclave. There are a few small things I can complain about on these speakers, but they don't give a four-and-a-half Star as a possibility and I didn't want to give him a four-star. The packaging was fine. No problem there. Be very careful with the grills. They could potentially become dented easily. When I plugged in the system I was not getting any connection to the speakers. This was frustrating and the instructions seemed somewhat vague. Such as reset the speakers. Is this done with them on or with them off? Some devices should be turned off before reset. I think I found that they must be reset when they are on. I took the back side of a wall nail and push the reset in. This seems to have done the trick and allowed The enclave to see the speakers and allow for setup. The enclave app has a maximum of ten feet away from the seating position to set the speakers. Mine are further so I wish that you could set it for the actual distance without a maximum of 10 ft. But basically in the end it comes down to adjusting the volume levels. Using the app I found that the system works best with HDMI. I could not get the optical to work but apparently HDMI has a better signal anyway so I will use that. It is a bit frustrating that The enclave app tries to search for The enclave cinebar and gives no indication if it's reaching that or not. In the end it seems to time out and never connect. When I restarted my phone it connected immediately. Then when you go out of the app and back in it's the same story. So basically the only way for me to attach to the app is to restart my phone. however you don't have to do this often. Once you have the speakers set it doesn't really need to use the app anymore. Now the good part. It is amazing to have finally no wires needed. That is great. The only thing I could hope for is a retractable wire cable because the full cable comes out. But I guess that would make the speakers bigger. there's also one wall that I wanted to plug my speaker in that has no outlet. So make sure that you have the outlets in the appropriate place. I'm going to see if I can add an outlet but there's no others even near it so that might be a trouble for me. An extension cord is going back to the same problem as before with cables. UPDATE, I ended up getting longer power cords from Amazon. I pulled the speaker away from the main unit to the wall without a plug. I just ran the extra long power cable there. I ended up getting tape mounted wire covers to put on the wall under the speakers, and along the floor. I plan on painting them to match. They look great. Great solution. The sound is impeccable. The system sounds like a movie theater. There is a maximum volume on the speakers of + 6. Yet the subwoofer can only be sent to + 3. Perhaps this is to prevent blowing the speaker? All in all this sounds amazing. I spread the speakers out pretty wide. You can really hear the separation in films like Star wars rogue one. These are new paradigm in surround sound. I have THX in my living room and it sounds amazing ... show more
