Another winner from Emsa! Lids are NOT hard to snap on like others have said. The seal is larger than most other brands making it much easier to keep clean. Also, the lid seal is permanently sealed to the lid eliminating the possibility of bacteria growth between the seal and lid like other similar products. The company rates this for 30 years life but I highly doubt this claim. I do think these are much tougher than most of the competition. Compared to the Popit! brand, these are superior in quality. Popit! containers are light duty with too much hype. I jumped on that band wagon only to immediately jump off. My wife needs some time now to put these to use and see which one she prefers (Emsa or Popit!). I look for the safety aspect and she is the expert on the practical side. This is my second purchase for EMSA containers and loving it... (well maybe loving is a little strong) ... show more

These seem to be better than most plastic containers we have used. Plastic is very thick. Only compliant is lock down can be hard for smaller handed people and difficult when hot liquids are in container. I believe these will last quite a while. I really like this set, different sizes of container fulfill my needs for lunch packing, or fruit storage. When I heat my lunch with this container (remove lid), there is no weird smell and the container becomes only minor soft but still solid. I think these are the best storage containers that I have ever bought . I will be ordering anot her set soon. They seal really good. I store my brown sugar in one of the containers and so far it has kept it from getting hard. Would recommend this product highly

The gaskets around the top and on the lids seal food in nice and air-tight. These are great for keeping food dry in coolers or as a dry box for camping, boating, etc. We used this set on a cross country road trip and they held up perfectly. I've used Snapware, Glasslock, and various other types of containers to carry my lunch which sometimes consists of stews and soups. So far Emsa containers have been the only truly leak proof containers I've tried so far. They also don't get moldy under the seal the way others do. The one con is that the plastic will corrode like many other plastics when oily foods are microwaved in it. ... show more
