I love love love this ball - everyone compliments it. It looks like a yummy caramel! I think it has improved my game. I got the 13 lb and drilled X-Large for a straight bowler - no curve balls. I guess I should add that I had it drilled at the pro shop at my bowling alley not by the Amazon drillers. I don't know if they would have done as expert of a job without measuring my exact hand... Not the ball's fault I probably would have, and still may, go back and get the 12 lb but I would like to build the wrist strength for this one. I feel it was a great val;ue for the money

Having acquired a love of tenpin bowling, under the influence of my father, who was in a league for several years, I figured it was time to get my own gear. In addition to the 10, 12 and 15-pound balls I had (as many of us serious amateurs tend to get multiple balls of various weights for differing shots), I needed a 16-pounder for to complete the lineup, considering I am a rather strong woman. I will say right off the bat that it is best to have these balls custom-drilled at a pro-shop, where you can be measured, depending on your needs. For heavier balls such as this one, it is highly recommended that you have a slug in the thumb hole for a more comfortable grip, such as I have done with this one, as well as my 15-pounder. Do all of this, and rolling it should be much more comfortable. In my experience of using this one, I have been able to roll some pretty good hammers (if you didn't know, a hammer is a strike in which the pins all go down really fast upon the ball making contact). Other than that, it handles comfortably, and is best if rolled a bit from the side, and with allowing gravity to do most of the work, as it does hook just a little bit. Excellent ball, over all! :)
