We have a 12 week old Rottweiler puppy and purchased an XL crate for growing purposes. This mattress fit perfectly and is not too soft or too firm. She immediately took to it and absolutely loves her crate. At the beginning she was very interested in biting the cover zipper and has had some success in zipping it down a few inches. I’ve since rotated the zipper to the back of the crate and it hasn’t been an issue and hopefully stays that way. The cool side is cool and the hot side is warm. I would have preferred two cool sides for easier cleaning (she has an optional blanket) but that’s a small point. ... show more

Its the right size for my crate. I don't know about chew proof, but my guy likes to nest and has ripped all our other beds in short order. I like that I can flip over for warmer weather or have a fuzzy side for cooler weather. So far so good. Haven't needed to wash it yet.

I got this for my puppy’s crate. She likes to drag it out and play with it. Light weight and fits perfectly. Not her favorite bed because it is a bit stiff but softens over time and use.

So far I haven't got a bad thing to say about this bed—but it is used only in my Bernedoodle puppy's crate. I have washed this a million times and never found any sort of leakage on the inner casing (can be washed too) or egg crate padding. Did not use it until after he was housebroken. My dog loves this mat and actually prefers it over the Casper dog bed we got him. I initially got this because we have a beach wagon that I got for multiple uses; one of them being to carry him around. He is older and we don’t want to strain his heart with long walks. This mattress fit pretty nicely in the wagon but because he loves it so much I leave it out for him to lay on. The only downside is it is a bit noisy with the waterproof cover inside. So she’s nosing and wants to know what’s in the box. This time she pulled this bed out, tore open the packaging and immediately laid on it. She even sometimes goes to lay in her crate since putting it in to replace her old one…she’s never done that before. Bought these for two foster dogs that needed a softer bed in their crates. They are soft and supportive without being too bulky, fits their crate perfectly. They are also lightweight so cleaning is easy, one fur baby likes to flip it up and burrow under it, it’s easy for him to flip but keeps its shape no matter how much he manipulates it.
