It fits the crate very well. It is durable and the puppy seems to be very comfortable sleeping on it. I do place an inexpensive folded blanket over it to absorb any accidents. Thankfully he has not had any accidents but I keep the blanket in it just in case.

This is a great dog bed. Soft on one side for when it’s cold out and a little more cooler on the other side not so fluffy. It seems like it will be very easy to wash. And it’s not overly thick. I was surprised that it unfolded perfectly and went into the crate because it was wrapped so small With Vacuum packing that I thought it would be stuck in that shape for a while. The dog egg crate foam is soft, but difficult to clean. Stains easily. The water proof lining is very poor quality. The stitching frayed away from the zipper the first washing. Overall the cover is definitely the best part. The warm side is very soft, the cool side is good. Not sure how cool it actually is, but my dog sleeps fine on it. The cover is easy to clean and so far has held up to 2 washings. Unfortunately my pup has had a bad couple nights requiring major crate clean up. I probably would purchase again if needed due to the fact that it fits perfect in my pup's crate. ... show more

We have a Great Dane who has gone thru multiple crate bed/pads due to accidents which ends in us throwing them away. So for awhile we there was no lining and she wouldn’t go to her kennel without whining/barking. This one is a faux fur lining but also a plastic lining so it’s protected. It was vacuum sealed but quickly came to full size which was about an inch or so. Super soft and our Great Dane loves her kennel now. Lays in there frequently on her own. It’s not heavy, it’s pretty lightweight. So far the bed has held up and we’ve had no fraying or tearing of the material even after washing it a few times. ... show more

I ordered the wrong size as the pictures show but this works even better. When I had it full length I was like 18"-24" short and I kept finding my dog in that area off of the new bed. I turned it sideways and bent the extra bedding up the side of his crate. Rocco loves his new setup. He came in muddy last night and really got his bed dirty! This dog mattress is made of three layers. The outer cover has a very soft fleece on one side and more of a canvas type fabric on the other. It can easily be taken off the mattress and washed. It zips off to reveal a plastic cover that the actual "mattress" goes in. The plastic liner is medium weight and will probably stay in tact as long as the outer cover is on it. The inside "mattress" is a thin piece of egg crate foam. It's not porous so it could be washed off if any urine leaked inside, but with the plastic cover, it should be protected. I have opted to further cushion the mattress by putting pillow stuffing inside the plastic zipper cover to add some loft to the mattress. I was able to zip the plastic cover and the fleece outer cover over the newly fluffed mattress with no problem. I was hoping for more, but for $20 I basically got a nice fleece cover and plastic lining layer. The "mattress" they sent is pretty worthless.... not much cushion at all. I hope our new rescue beagle will be comfy with the additional batting I added to the mattress. ... show more

It’s not the best orthopedic, but it’s certainly not the worst. I think 4 stars is just right for softness. The cover comes off easy to wash. After the cover is off, the mattress can be wiped, because it’s covered in a waterproof bag. I’d recommend buying if you are having trouble deciding or trying to decide between two. Note that we were able to fit this mat in a large dog crate (not cage). ... show more
