I would buy it again

Its a good option if you're trying to save on electric. I use it daily and its convenient and reliable. Still cant figure out the difference between the heating options though, but we use them both depending on what we're cooking. It doesn't boil water very well so use smaller amounts of water or a pan that fits the unit snuggly and cover it. It fits most pans but if you have the bigger 12" pans it doesn't work well with them, unless you have the expensive heat conducting pans. Works great with the pans that fit it & it will tell you if you're using the wrong pan.

Dropped in to counter with ease. For the price, you get great value. The surface is easy to clean. A little on a noisy side if you have the wrong kind of pans and pots. Love the touch pad for control of the functions. This is our second one, they broke the first one when we had countertops replaced - so not the product's fault.

Defective and unable to get issue resolved!

Order the stove top for our little cabin in the wood. Opened the box just over a month after the purchase and went to install the legs for the unit to sit on our countertop. There are interior threads the feet screw into. As I went to install the last leg the interior thread pushed through which did not allow the let to install. Really no way to fix. I contacted AMAZON as the return time had expired by 5 days. Amazon advised me to contact Empava. I contacted them and was told to send an email with pictures of the issue, and they would take care of it. I sent the picture and emailed them with the issue and was told to contact Amazon. I advised them that was already done with not results. The next email from EMPAVA I was shown how to install the legs? REALLY?? I have made several calls and left messages as they are supposed to return the calls. I have had no luck. Very poor customer service on a defective issue, with a very short window for returns.

Sleek and Easy

Not super quick bringing a pot of water to boil, but once it's boiling, it maintains heat really well. Not a fan of the "power sharing" which distributes power when both burners are in use. But it's fine for most applications (except for bringing a big pot of water to boil). You can't beat the easy cleaning, the reduction in extra heat in the kitchen and overall sleekness that comes with induction.

Cannot Simmer, Heat is On/Off, On/Off

We had this for 3 years replacing a gas cooktop in our RV. We have learned to live with that the lowest setting is too high for many purposes like boiling rice for 2 people. If you make Chili you must be ready to stir often to prevent burning to the bottom of the pot. The control of the heating is done by simply switching the heating on and off. So boiling happens for a few seconds then no boiling for some seconds even in a pot with thick bottom. When removing the pot from the heat for a few seconds is a very annoying error triggered with an auditable alarm that cannot be stopped.
