I wasnโ€™t sure about the Empava name brand, but I would buy it again. The quality is good and the style beautiful. Other reviews said it was hard to light, but I donโ€™t have that issue. Itโ€™s very easy to clean . Love it

I wanted to replace my gas cooktop (for the planet) and this does a perfect job. Unlike gas, it has a timer function which I use all the time. Whatever you heat it's much faster than gas of straight electric.

Don't remove a pan for more than a few seconds. It throws the cooktop into an error mode with endless beeping and no way to stop it. Have to wait for it to reset before turning the burner back on. Every single action is a beep... and a loud one!

Sometimes it takes several tries to light the larger burners, especially the center, but it does light. The temp control is always too hot. To get one that has better control is twice the price at least.
