Really great bed frame! I bought this because I got a new queen sized mattress from a friend but couldn’t get the box spring to my house without renting a U-Haul and my friends suggested a platform bed frame! I absolutely love this frame. I have only slept on it for two nights so far but it is very sturdy. The spacing between the horizontal bars is smaller than some other platform bed frames so the mattress doesn’t sink into the frame at the edges of the bed at all. I also love how much room is under the bed. 18” allows a 20 gallon bin to fit underneath so I can store so much under the bed. I also feel like it’s the perfect height off the ground. It doesn’t feel too short like a 14”-16” tall frame does to me. Great value for the $60 I paid, friends have paid $100 for less quality. I also loved setting this up. There was one difficult part but it’s because you have to hold the nut on the back of a screw with a little wrench that is difficult to grip in the small areas that you are working. Other than that it was very easy to assemble and the instructions were very clear. The screws and nuts were sorted by type, separated, and labeled by what step they’re in in the instructions. ... show more

    • A cheap upgrade that totally changes the look of my bedroom.

I recently purchased a new hybrid mattress and was using it with my ancient old wooden box spring but the the warranty specified that it needed to be used with box springs no older than 5 years so I decided to upgrade to a taller metal frame. It was pretty easy to put together even by this female senior citizen and I'm happy that it fit inside my wooden Queen panel bed once I removed the three original wooden slats. It's a tight fit but I made it. Once assembled the frame is very sturdy however as others have mentioned my new 14" mattress easily slid around on it. The metal support rails are about 5 inches apart and I felt that over time the mattress might start to sag into the gaps so I went to Lowes and picked up a sheet of Masonite hardboard for $14 to add more support. This addition also created enough friction that the mattress no longer moves. It's only been a day but I slept very well last night and no squeaking or creaking and I'm very happy with my upgrade. Easy to set up and all tools included. It does take about an hour, tho. Altho all tools are included, I would recommend using a much thicker 13mm spanner than the stamped one included, as you’ll need it for a high torque assembly application.
