I needed a 4” box spring and this product fit my needs perfectly. I am impressed with the quality, it exceeded my expectations. Assembly is required and if I can do it by myself then anyone with minimal dexterity can assemble. The photo doesn’t show it but there is a nice cover for the frame.

Traditional box springs have been marketed with such features as "individually wrapped coil springs" and other nice-sounding features that cost the consumer $1,000+ depending on the size of the mattress. These box springs are constructed from high-quality steel that has been CDC machined so that the powder-coated parts fit together perfectly. Although the unit requires assembly and comes with a small wrench and hex tool (and even extra nuts and bolts in case one or two are misplaced), assembly goes much faster with a socket wrench. The box springs are shipped in a double-wall cardboard box, and the main components (a frame comprised of sturdy bars that unfold and fit together perfectly) are encased in plastic. The relatively small box (under four feet high) is quite heavy, so a buyer with back problems or the like should plan on using a handcart to move the box into a garage workspace. Once assembled the unit can be carried fairly easily because the weight is evenly distributed. When the assembled box spring is placed on the slats in the frame of the bed, about twenty powder-coated bars are placed in slots, creating a solid frame for the mattress. When the mattress is in place, assuming that the mattress itself is in good condition, the bed feels exactly the same as if it had coil springs--but at roughly one-tenth of the price of name-brand coil springs. ... show more

Got delivered the assembly part its easy have patience it’s litteraly a puzzle instructions picture coukd be a bit more readable or have pointers at least but other than that its a strong box spring frame there is no squeaks for the people wondering replace your wood box spring As a big guy i approve does handle weight does handle the night activities if you know you know will buy again if anything ... show more

    • Broken garbage

I received the item and opened up the tightly packed box, got most of the things out of the plastic and discovered the center piece had broken "welds" and had chunks broken off of it. I requested a replacement "G" part as it was labeled. They sent a replacement for everything instead of the "G" part. The replacement worked but had lots of gaps and pieces that did not fit flushly. Being cheap overseas garbage I expected it be of poor quality so I can live with that. The problem is I now have to lug the broken unit back for shipment after already wasting time with it to begin with. Being so packed tightly I had to use a whole lot of duct tape to get the box to close. Just buy a normal more expensive box spring and save yourself the trouble. ... show more
