I was hesitant to buy this cooling blanket since I sleep hot but I was surprised with size, color and quality, it is not real heavy at all, soft and washable which I like. Nice color

The only reason I’m giving this four stars instead of five is because I wasn’t expecting to have to pre-wash it so specifically before I could use it. Living in an apartment made it a challenge since it had to be washed and dried in the shade. So I waited until evening and hung it on pan hangers between the door jams of two rooms. It dried faster than expected and has been a godsend during this hot summer with no air conditioning. But it was definitely worth it because I use it all the time and even my cats like it. When folded, it takes a very little space and is slinkier than a traditional blanket. It’s especially nice to lay out over a living room chair or on a sofa or lay on top of on your bed. And it is also very attractive. Not something you need to hide when company comes over. Just make sure you check their purse before they leave because they might take it with them. Wink wink!

The thing most potential buyers need to know about this throw is that it's very thin and light-weight. By itself, it's not going to keep you warm on a winter's night, unless you live Florida -- and with the weather they're getting as I write this, maybe not even then! Just based on my personal experience, as long as the house is above about 65 degrees fahrenheit, it should keep you decently warm unless you're not at all used to, or able to tolerate, cooler temperatures. But, with all that said, this throw is incredibly soft and fluffy, and wonderful to curl up under if you're using it because it's cuddly rather than because you're actually COLD-cold. The only real problem I've had with it is that the cat has claimed it as her own and we often have to tussle a bit when we both want to use it at once. I think I might actually buy a few more of these for upcoming birthdays for people who I know love soft, fuzzy blankets, and I'll probably buy myself another after the current one wears out.

I stopped reading at "high density," thinking thick. Should have read all. Ended with "lightweight," a word I was avoiding in blanket listings, and they got that part right. Is even lighter than lightweight. I like some weight in my blankets (weighted ones are way over heavy, so not that type). I am hoping it is warmer than it looks. Wanted thick and fluffy. It is not, but is soft. I live in So FL, but we do get some 30-40 nites in our winter ;) I am keeping this, but will keep looking for that perfect (non print) blanket.
